It's an SEO thing apparently. Following on from my longer post on the other thread yesterday. No harm in trying I guess 🙂 May have to bump it occasionally (or possibly stick it).
If you'd like to help your site, probably the more of you that click on this thread (and/or post on it, I suspect), the higher up it ranks in SEO.

Should put names of our most famous players, loftus road/kpfs, manager names etc if it means the site will show up in search engines whenever someone looks for them

I think this does matter because we appear on Google if you search for "QPR fans forum" but not without the quotes. The quotes group the words together. Do you need to put quotation marks around the expressions? don't think thats an issue dk |

I would say start with those as these are the pages that will rank for KWs. Type site:https://rfantasyisland.boards.net/
into google and you will see what I mean

Brian, I've changed the top banner too, which looks a lot better now IMO. It actually has our team's name rather than just Rangers, which a web search could easily confuse with Glasgow Rangers. Our URL rfanstasyisland remains the same of course. Hopefully these changes should help.

Is this about generating more exposure for the Forum on search engines etc??
If name needs to be QPR to generate more interest then it would surely be worth a name change as fantasy island makes sense to all of us but anyone looking for QPR forum would miss it

According to KW tools (which are not entirely accurate but still)..."QPR Forum" is the main search term so would go with "QPR Forum - Queens Park Rangers Fantasy Island" for this board and then for the homepage maybe mix it up a bit with - "QPR Messageboard - Fan Discussion and Chat - Rangers Fantasy Island"
Change up the descriptions to be eh...more descriptive. Both the homepage and this board have the same descriptions. At the moment it's - "QPR Chat & Anything Else. You can talk about anything in here. Rangers related or not. No New Posts, Results, Reports & Match Day Threads. Match Stats."
You could also add in a few KWs to the other forums - QPR Match Reports...the Stan Bowles Hall of Fame, Loftus Road Lounge (General Chat) or whatever...maybe

Thanks Brian. Ok, have re-worded things a bit now. Made more references to QPR and Queens Park Rangers on the boards, descriptions and sub-boards. Any better?
