Nice to do a how many points will be pick up without it being related to a relegation battle for a change
So 33 points up for grabs my guess is we will pick up 22points looking at fixtures
Would see is end on 68points
Overly optimistic?

I think it could be as low as 10 points, looking at the fixtures. Between 10 and 15 I reckon.

Play like we did last night and we'll win far more than we lose.

43 and we'll sneak into 2nd spot 👍
Not really, 12 more which puts us on 58 and a finish not too far off 12th.

There is also the chance that once the club feel that they are free from relegation they will introduce players like Oteh, Shodipo maybe Bansal-McNulty, Joe Gubbins or Nathan Carlyle to see if they can cope in a fairly risk free adult game. They may be the ones that we will be relying on to pick up the baton next season. If we maintain our average points per game over the season so far we should get 60 points by the end.

Most interesting thing for me would be that in the incredibly unlikely event of us actually going up, it would put the whole concept of us being a selling club to the acid test.... We'd need a quality CB and we'd have to nail the GK thing, and that's just for starters.
Points wise it depends almost entirely on having a settled back line, because we still look like scoring regularly. If we can keep the back door shut on a regular basis I reckon around 15 - 18 more points is achievable.

We tried buying a place in prem and failed. Never again

Sure Wests but the stakes are much, much higher than they were then. Especially for small attendance prem sides. That media money is vast.
Having achieved promotion, it would be financially insane not to tighten the squad up with aim of being at least a little bit competitive. Look at Sheffield United. They knew they had to sort a few things and it worked. It's possible to invest sensibly.

Far from it. That's just how things transpire.

incredibly unlikely event of us actually going up We would probably need another 28 points from the 33 available. 9 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss. Agree that is incredibly unlikely, but not impossible. We would do well to get another 4 wins and maybe 4 draws. My guess is we get another 15-18 points and set a new record since our last relegation.

In the highly unlikely event that we are this season's team to come out of the pack and storm it please let's have no posts about not being ready or good enough. Worry about that in the summer. We need the money.

Couple of points. You make more money surviving in the EPL than bouncing backwards and forwards. Relegation is a massive punt, getting back up isn't easy, at which point all manner of things come into play. Like FFP protocols etc.
Still think if we made it (66/1 shot I reckon) there would be a reappraisal of how to approach things financially. It would be insane not to review the situation. You can't run a football club and plan to get absolutely obliterated next season, and doing nothing bar selling the family silver would guarantee that (if the 66/1 romps home...)

9 games now. Promotion form is 2 points a game. That would mean 18from 27 for us. Too few for playoffs.
