Seaman Gorkšs Macca Nelsen Padula Waddock Masson Taarabt Bowles Remy Vargas I like that but you can't have Seaman and Bowles. Wouldn't want to leave either out but Seaman has to go.

I thought it had to be players we actually owned.

Never mind the nationalities, balancing this lot and finding a few defenders is hard enough.
Build it around Adel and G. Francis as the AMFs. Phil Parkes, monster of a keeper. The Young Rodders was lethal on the deck and good in the air. Stan plays off him. All of these are stone cold certs because bar Adel they held their own at the highest domestic level, and Adel because he is the perfect foil for Gerry - a devastating combo. If you set up with a conventional winger Dave Thomas serves it up, could go inside and out and switch wings. Macca in front of Parkes. Bardsley too.
It's the rest of em I'm not so sure about....

OK, more for the older guys amongst us but Phil Parkes or Seaman? I'd probably have to go for Seaman but by less than half a point. He shades it because of superior fitness and possibly a little more athletic - more modern game. Parkes was a brilliant keeper though. Was around when the Clemence/Shilton thing was going on.

Tough one that. Wonder how much both would be worth in modern game? Big money

yeah but I was struggling..... Stajskel good call, strong 11 that one Dave. Wegerle bench maybe.
Someone else asked Parkes v Seaman. Parkes was beast of a keeper, and I always felt with Seaman there was more chance of a howler. But in an international 11 it has to be Stajskel, makes room for an English outfield player.

Nayim from the halfway line wouldn't have happened to big Phil so you have a point.
