i do think they'll find a way to finish this season, maybe they'll alter it to have the top 3 promoted etc but what about next season with the euros coming up next year and next season likely starting much later how will they go about it?
reduced games seems the way to go but maybe it can be done differently. in the FL at least wouldn't it make sense to split the leagues in 2 leagues of 12 that play eachother twice? the upper tier clubs of 12 will have 2 clubs going up automatically with the 3rd placed team going to the playoff final. the lower tier 'champion' will face the upper tier's 3rd placed team in the playoff final with the winner of that match being promoted. there's a surprise package that shoots up the table every season into the playoffs so that would account for that.
as for relegation the 2 worst teams in the lower team will be automatically relegated whilst the team in 10th plays a relegation/promotion game against the playoff winner from league 1 and so on.
just something i've been mulling over as next season is already months behind schedule.
after next season though things return to normal.

I said to my brother today, that my gut is that they will abandon next seasons fixtures, finish this season when it’s possible to safely and allowing preparation time for euros 21.
