Great news.
Hopefully, all clubs will broadcast all the remaining matches on their websites for free.

It’s being said that the season would be completed by end of July..why the rush ? Is it so new season can begin August/September ?

Is it so new season can begin August/September ? think so Sparx as although the end of this season has been carnage if they can finish it off pronto and get the new season up and running August/early September then put in a few extra midweek games they finish next season at normal time and everything from scheduling Perspective is back to normal

Surprised that the club think three weeks is far too short time to get players fit?

As other pundits have said, if a player was out for that long and had 3 weeks to be ready for the play off final, he would be saying he is fit. All the players should have been keeping fit during lockdown so 3 weeks of contact training, which is the same for everyone, should be fine. Just train harder than competitors and we'll steal a march on them. We have a young team that should be up to fitness in no time.

I think 3 weeks is not long enough and there are going to be some strange results.
no consultation whatsoever is poor and what do the players think

Wanker PL clubs get to collectively decide the PL return, but EFL clubs are simply told. Says it all.

In Fairness brights I think part of the rush is we don’t know what’s coming round the corner and if there will be further lockdowns so they want this season concluded so they don’t have use average points etc and get into litigation. Finish season on its merits then there are no legal arguments

I’m very happy that our team will be playing again very soon..maybe the club should have anticipated that EFL would have to get in line quickly behind the premiership. I agree we may see some unusual twists and turns with teams losing players being injured or unwilling to play..we are in the hat why not believe we can get a play off spot

How will it work for players going out of contract.... there's a story this morning that Charlton have 15 players coming to the end of their contracts and one of their players has already stated that he won't play as he doesn't want to risk injury and possibly fucking up his chance of a move.

I would want it in my contract that if I get injured during this time then I want to be paid until I have recovered.

I hope they will show our matches on QPR+. No reason why they shouldn't for people who've paid for a season's subscription. Indeed they'd be contractually obliged to.

I think its a very risky situation for the players and the club, often when players are not fit injuries occur mistimed tackles etc.
I would not want to see any of our players pick up nasty injuries because the powers that be are on the hurry up.
Eze and Bos especially come to mind

when players are not fit injuries occur mistimed tackles Training is currently non-contact therefore tackling is presumably not allowed?

If they're worried about it, look to the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 for the example on how to pull this off. I've been very impressed watching that, hate the lack if crowd and find it soulless but you can't deny they've put safety at the top of their priorities.

Lyle Taylor is being offered a move with 4 times the money he's getting now , can't blame him not wanting to play and get injured as he's 30 and probably at his age may not get such a good offer again
