Could be case of needs must given current situation Exactly I'd imagine a player potentially worth £20m+ is probably worth around £10-12m now under the current financial disaster football is facing. Can we as a club refuse that kind of money? I'd say probably not.

sadly he probably won't go for 20m and will go for around 10-12m as others have said. on the plus side though the entire transfer market will also be much lower than previous years

I could understand if BOS goes on the cheap due to his contract details but EZE contract ends in 2022. The fees involved in any transfer normally depends who comes calling and how many are bidding. In my experience football has never followed suit with the economy and probably won’t now

Under the circumstances, you’d think that now would be a good time for the EFL to do the right thing and, as a gesture of goodwill and common sense, inform us that any further payments towards their ridiculous fine will no longer be required.

As they are levied against the owners and not the club I doubt they will be that magnanimous. You never know though.

It will be of interest too to see how the EFL deal with the Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County FFP P&S cases which were in a fairly advanced stage before the C-19 virus struck. Are Bet32 still paying Rooney? What happens with Blackburn will also be of interest as they have crippling debt and with no fans being allowed at games, they will be a busride away from P&S conformance.

If Eze value has come down due to CVD (suspect it has) then similarly so has Hughills so if they rate him at £10mil before CVD he’s what 4 or 5 now max??

Where does our fine money actually go?? Not entirely sure. At the time, the BBC were saying it would go to projects in the community. No idea which projects or which community though.

I don’t think Jordan Hughill has started a game for West Ham other than coming on as a sub on one occasion so I would think his £10m valuation when he signed shows that it was not a good business decision by moyes. Hughill is an honest player who gets in opposition faces but with average ability..think he was a £6m striker before COVID 19 and £4m now if football tightens it’s purse strings

Hugill misses to many chances to be a PL player . I think whu have cottoned on to that , think eze will go where he gets offered the most £ . Most players not bothered if they sat on the bench as long as the dollar I'd pouring in

If Eze goes for a lot less than we'd originally wanted we should stick a hefty 40% sell on clause to make up for it as the boy is class and will go for massive money in the future.

Everyone is expecting a new era of frugality in football, so clubs are just going to offer super low money and see who blinks first.

I would say they must have a good scouting network and we should have a look at their other billy bargain target mentioned.

Clubs at the top are still spending. Chelsea just spent £50m, PSG also the same. All the talk of players being worth less now seems premature.

West Ham club and supporters seem to really want Eze and really rate him very highly.
We're as Spurs don't seem too bothered real shame as Eze wants Spurs move.
Suprised Arsenal haven't come in at all he'd be perfect fit for them .
Leeds also want him but there fans are tossers reading all the shit they are saying bout us atm
