Usual bullshit. Pool every piece of resource: Gate receipts, TV rights, merchandise etc etc, divide by the number of clubs, and reallocate equally. Fuck the top six of the PL off into some European league and restructure the leagues (one, two, three, four).

They would have a conniption.

re that link.. Interesting how finally pulling our thumb out of our collective arse and winning a couple of cup games impacted upon the finances. And yet for years the club and many of its supporters didn't give a fuck about it. As we're two old geezas and a dog in terms of crowd revenue, we absolutely have to exploit any competition with a bit of media rights dosh attached.

Yes it is. But after posting the above, I think you may still have a point, because we will have 13 million less income from broadcasting from this season onwards. Which means our revenue will probably be around 22 million this season? Our player wages will probably not have dropped enough to make up for that, but hopefully the sales of Freeman, Furlong and Luongo will help as well as their wages (Not that I presume they were on massive contracts, but still). On top of that we got rid of a few others with Lynch, Wszolek and Cousins probably being the main earners. So all in all, my best guess is that our accounts will show a wages/turnover percentage below 80 % anyway for this season as well. HereΒ΄s hoping

If those figures are correct (Shodipo 5k?) then even at this level they are on easy street. Use your spare time training or qualifying for something in the future then if you aren't elevated to the super rich you are still made for life. I've retired now but when I think if what my daughter does to earn in a year what a very average player makes in a week it beggars belief. I get the business arguments of the Ronaldos of this world making money for their clubs etc. but 5k a week on someone where the jury is still out is crazy.

Even If these figures are rough, easy for players to look at teammates and think your underperforming.

If bang average players are on 5k whatβs the cost of the half decent ones We do saying that have to make every pound count in our situation and if Kane salary is accurate there is still work to be done

Judging by these figures Bosman freebies command biggest wages..so many players being released due to economy slump and threatened wage cap coming..lots of players going to have to get real.

So..... Our third choice keeper, someone called Dillon Barnes, who's never on the bench, won't ever play on goal for us, and someone I've never heard of, earns Β£156K pa? ππππππππ. Insane.

If the length of contract figures are correct on our players we need to get a hurry up and tie some down instead of waiting until players are in last year .

What is most alarming is not one player is from outside of the U.K Manning aside and that has been a point I made on another thread. Our recruitment team should be doing just that recruiting the best possible player for what we are able to pay them. I guarantee I could with just a mobile phone could get a right back better than Kane and for less wages then he gets. It is lazy recruitment and until we get to best in class in our budget nothing will ever change.
