Got to be identifying talent from Africa Almost certain to be looking at tapping into young African talent. We have done well with the UK born Nigerians, time to expand.

Not sure why you need to employ someone for that?
That's what scouting networks, agents and contacts are for?
How often are you realistically going to get a very good talent under the noses of all the big clubs?
I get the feeling it may be another role.

We have already set up an extensive scouting network in India so this feels like a natural extension of that into Africa. Maybe a realignment of the Gary Penrice role?

Ghana used to do well in international youth tournaments 10 to 15 years ago. Like Senegal and Nigeria especially they should plenty of talents still available.

The club brought over 18? youngsters of various ages to train with the various year groups and, IIRC, two of them were offered places.

Africa a mine field,as birth certificate are a bit sketchy. A lad who may say be 15 could actually be any age but.

That article reads like propaganda. Might not be even true.

Given the scene in Africa I would guess you need the right people in the right places to access and negotiate terms etc

Not a peep of one near the first team or any being good enough to sign and sell on? Sunil Chhetri signed a three year professional contract at QPR before EUFA stepped in and prevented him from getting a work permit as India weren't ranked in the World top 70. India are slowly progressing as a football nation and are hovering at 108th currently.
