Absolute joke if true. The club is a mess. Our whole philosophy is based on bringing through our own and selling them on for decent money to reinvest. What the F*** are we going to do with 1.5 mill ffs. Who let him run his contract down again? WBA must be laughing and I think Darnell will go on to be a very decent player at this level. You might want to do a little bit of basic research before losing your shit. Go and investigate just how long is left on his contract. |

That Chelsea lad is class. We all know the position the club is in, as infuriating as it is. I personally don’t rate Darnell at all, gets caught out far too often and quite likes an injury. I’m ok with him going, think we could have squeezed them for a bit more dough but he’s only worth what people are willing to pay and Everyman and his dog know we’re skint

There is a lot of talk of him being a quality player they should be building their team around. But there is the occasional comment on their that concerns me. A few people mentioning that perhaps he hasn't quite lived up to the reputation as yet. 19 appearances for Ipswich, 1 goal and 1 assist. Not hugely encouraging stats for a playmaker. Also currently out with a broken wrist. |

Never been a big fan of Furlong and 2 million is decent for him when you look at others who have gone. Hopefully the plans they have come off. Very open minded on the new manager and think he needs a good start to the season

2 million in this market is derisory and its poor management by the owners and exectuives again. Other clubs are commanind 3 or 4 x the amount of money for players of similar quality and arguable less experience.
This is a home grown talent and the clubs philosophy is to bring them through and them sell them on but for 1.5 -2 mill its a load of bollox. They haven't sorted his contract out and we have been left in a vulnerable position again.
People saying they don't rate him and he's off to a top championship team in WBA. The played well last year in a extremely poor team and is one of our own. We should of been doing everything we can to extend his contract on decent money for his age with a sensible release clause inserted. However, our management team have overlooked another chance for us to make some decent money.
The lad Sterling from scum is very highly rated and will soften the blow slightly. However, the running of the club and the valuation set by our team is shocking.

All the fuss surrounding Darnell leaving for a reasonable price sounds like the very same noise being made when Cole Kpekawa was "given away" to Barnsley. He is currently, at the age of 21, bumbling around the lower reaches with Billericay Town. Sounds like QPR did a good bit of business with him.
