Warburton lost the plot today hooking Chair off ? It was clear early on on here that BOS wasn’t up for it. Chair looked pissed off when he went off I just hope Warburton doesn’t lose Chair wanting to play for him. Eze looks to have more options on when playing with Chair. Bettache is more of a direct replacement for Ilias, I would guess that MW just wanted to have a look at a few of the young players in a match situation. Jack Clarke would have been a like for like with BOS. BOS & Manning played like they didn't want to get injured today and that would lead me to think that they won't be signing any contracts at QPR. Could understand your point of view if we were 3-0 down and the game was lost but to take off perhaps the one player who put in a shift so early in 2nd half was baffling to me.

I agree, it's not what I would have done at all. The main stumbling block in both games has been Hugill's inability to put chances away. If MW thinks he would rather prepare for next season then send Hugill back and give Oteh the spot. If Barbet is injured then we might see Joe Gubbins make an appearance too.

We are in trouble because the club thought the season would be called off. Not many of our players looked fit today. Playing against superior teams like West Ham and Chelsea were other amateurish mistakes made by the powers that be.

I had exactly the same feeling.... it would have suited the club to discontinue the season...safe in the championship. Hoos did seem to protest a little too much about the restart, but not for the right reasons.

Looking at the state of Jordan Hugill in terms of match fitness I would have probably given Oteh the nod, or at least a decent run out over the last 2 games. In general, if first teamers don't look interested then we should give the kids a go. At least they will have something to prove, a spot to play for next season etc.

I found the lack of overlapping play frustrating. So many times we went backwards as either the wingers were behind the ball or Rangel and Manning dodnt want to go forward. Limits what we do as everything is into feet.
BOS looks shot of confidence now.
Ball played really well

Don't think any of our starting 11 played particularly well in fact.

Ball had a nightmare..look at the photos of their goal..Ball barges into Barbet just as he challenges Pratley. I don’t think Ball’s commitment could be questioned yesterday unlike most of the others.

Ball played gradually better and better as the game went on, imo. Regarding Hugill, I feel that we have to play two up front. After having lost to Barnsley we should have gone all out for a win yesterday. Oteh should have been given the opportunity from the start. Or perhaps Bettache. I guess the latter is a midfielder by trade, but we have to surprise our opponents, that`s how we took most of our points before the break. My impression is that we have been found out well and truly now. Another issue is that We have to keep the ball as far away from our defence as possible. Hopefully Waburton will notice this while analysing the match today. If not I hope Eustace will "react". Against Fulham I think I would have started the same team as the one which finished the match yesterday. Except for Chair probably. He is a very valuable player for the team. His movements creates much space for Eze and others.

Thought so too. How about the situation early in the first half, I think, where Ilias rounds their defender(Lockyer?) by the corner flag and gets pulled down from behind. That´s a booking all day long, even if it´s only a couple of minutes into the match. That kind of set the tone for the rest of the match, ie. the ref letting their players now they could get away with "professional" fouls like that, hence the many obstructions breaking up our one/twos. We were still shit, mind you, but not getting the correct decisions didn´t help one bit.

He should have been driving in the box and being brave instead of taking the easy option

How the hell did we lose to this lot. Just watched them play Millwall and they are a very very poor side.

Imagine you thought you might have a half marathon to run tomorrow but reckoned it would be cancelled so you spent the week getting shitfaced. Then at last orders tonight, you’re told run is going ahead.
