Six Points

I think we need positive thinking right now.

I don't think there is much need to panic. Wigan are about to get a significant points deduction and Luton and Barnsley aren't likely to win 3 of their remaining 5 games. And even if they do, there are another 5 or 6 teams on worse points tally's than us that will also need to pick up a few wins. I honestly think 50 points is probably enough. I'd imagine we'll also dig out a few points somewhere in our next 6 games.

That said, we should never have ended up even having to worry about all this. Warburton needs to bite the bullet and do more work on the defensive side of our game, we'll go nowhere til this happens. We've also been a bit naive with regards to how thin we've let the squad get in the 2nd half of the season, and how we conducted ourselves during and after the lock down.

General the defending has been crap since week 1 and not improved one bit. I listened to a podcast with Clint Hill who said when he was at Rangers with MW they did NO work on the defensive side of the game

No work on defence is embarressing

If Warnock was manager he would immediately bring in 2 experienced centre halves and an aggressive midfielder all on free transfers

Not enough steel or experience in our team

Living in cloud cuckoo land if you think we have this type of money to spend Gen. 

We won't be spending our way out of this, impossible with FFP and everything that's going on with the world at the moment. Warburton will need to work with the young players coming through, free transfers and the loan market. We'll be fine though, most sides are reducing their squad sizes and there will be plenty of capable players available. Warburton has also proved himself to be pretty shrewd in the transfer market.

As I said above though, I just wish he'd accept that more work needs to be done on the defensive side of our game. Maybe bring a defensive coach and do some work around defending set pieces etc.

Yes Croyds on my own if necessary it's been known before 

No reason why we couldn’t spend as you say General but I would think we need to be like perhaps Brentford ,Preston or Bristol City first.

They have been consistent in being around top six spots for a few seasons with a reasonable squad and few bob in their back pocket from sales.

This season in the championship has been very average wherein if MW had half an idea of defending ,we had kept Wells ,had a couple of decent defenders and a keeper we might well have broken into play offs.

Can we spend some of the Eze money on new players eg 10 million quid or not

Can we spend 10 million on players and bank 5 million will we still be in FFP rules mate ?

Funny how we go round in circles with this stuff every year. Same posters say we are in trouble, other posters say we will be fine. QPR Forums....you can set your watch to them!

Can't get my head around how we could potentially have that kind of money to spend.

General - point taken about reinvesting some of the money that Eze and BOS are likely to be sold for. I do suspect we'll get a bit less than you are hoping though. Covid and its economic impact on the football industry really has come at the worst time for us. If BOS, Eze and Manning all don't want to sign an extension then they need to be sold this summer. I suspect this transfer window will be the least lucrative for many years given what's going on in the world.
