Then why don’t we just try to use that money to sign Eze up on a long term deal. Money talks and in all honesty he has the potential to do an Adel for us.

I'd rather take the £20m odd we're asking for. Let Eze develop further in the Prem

eze probably wants to leave anyway. 20m would go a long way to securing our financial position and would give us money to bring in better quality players for various positions. chair is also probably ready to step up and fill the void eze will leave

Ideally it's always preferable to keep your best players. Better the devil you know. he has the potential to do an Adel for us. IOW get us promoted which too would be as securing our financial position So depends which way you skin the cat. Would Eze want to leave anyway? Well that would depend on how the club sold their ambitions to him. One more season in the championship could be better for his long-term development than limited game time in the prem next season.

If we get 20 million for Eze
They should give Warns 10 million and bank 10 million
Winner winner chicken dinner

If BOS transfer was used for Eze to sign a contract at say £20k per week how would he stand legally if the new wage cap was rolled out ?

No way should we be paying anyone 20k a week no mater how good a player is, we don’t have the money.
We’re no longer in position to be paying out best part of 100k a month on players. At the very most I could possibly get head round 10k but 20k is just us returning to the bad days of overspending on things we cannot afford

I’m just using it as an example West Acton.
The real reason is let’s just say we are desperate for Hugill to sign and we offer him £15k and wage cap equates to £13.5 k will it be like the relegated teams from prem that have dispensation ?
If this is a loophole it will most likely be exploited by some clubs in future ?

The way EFL gave us no leeway When we came down from prem and wanted us to comply immediately with prem contracts if there consistent can’t imagine there is any wriggle room
Apologies if misunderstood your earlier post Sparx

At the very most I could possibly get head round 10k but 20k is just us returning to the bad days of overspending on things we cannot afford I'm pretty certain that Leistner is the only player currently at the club earning over 10k p/w. I'm also pretty sure that he'll be on his way out this summer and those coming in will also be earning less than 10k p/w. This is why I'm also pretty certain that Hugill ain't coming back unless either a.) he's prepared to take a big drop in wages or b.) West Ham are prepared to heavily subsidise his wages, perhaps as a sweetener to help them land either Eze or Manning.
