As the Doc says, too injury prone. Massive shame as really good player. But you can't build a defence or team around someone you can't rely on, so sadly it's a no from me.

Not even playing now and not really played last two seasons
We’re not financially in a place where we can be charitable so unless any new contract is on our terms he needs to go. Shame as there is good player there, but no point being good if you can’t make it on the pitch

Key players / high earners need to be fit enough to deal with the rigors of Championship football. Grant Hall's injury record means that 2 games in a week is always going to be tough!

Sadly, he is one we must replace. Another one. And with who? Goosh..

Knowing QPR’s luck we’ll release him and he’ll sign for someone in the league and rediscover his form and go on to a en even bigger club.
I use to think he had the ability to play top level champ football and I wonder if it’s worth the club sticking by him or at least offering reduced terms with a bump for appearance fees and maybe the option for a certain amount of appearances to trigger an extension.
I can see him going elsewhere and kicking on tbh.

He won’t kick on Maids if he can’t stay fit

He won’t kick on Maids if he can’t stay fit I hear you west but plenty of players go through periods in their careers like Halls just gone through and come back stronger. It would be just our luck to let him go and he’s come through his injury nightmare. He’s young enough to bounce back imo but I understand why fans would be concerned about retaining him. Matthew Connolly is available at the end of the season on a free. Wouldn’t mind him back for a season or two in a hoops shirt. I believe he’s 31 now!

Too much of an injury risk for me. If there is a question mark about any player's fitness for the start of next season he shouldn't be in the squad. We will need all our resources fit for as much of the season as possible. We only have to look at the impact injuries had on us this season to see risking money on the injury prone is asking for trouble.

Been handed a new deal? Noticed him in the training videos but thought his contract was up this summer.
Anyone up on his situation?

Maybe they are still in discussions or have simply been asked to attend pre-season so the new boss can take a look at them in training.

I can`t find anything about an extension of the current one which goes to the end of this month.

I think he had the option of a year extension.

Blimey, he must be one of our highest earners then if he triggered an extension option. Let's hope we get a decent return this season.

Are extensions on same terms anyone know? Yes. You are extending the contract. Any changes would require signing a new contract.

Spent his summer having a hair transplant and frolicking in the water with some z list celeb for the benefit of the paparazzi.....maybe I'm just jealous

GRANT Hall says he is relishing the added responsibility of wearing QPR’s captain’s armband. The centre-back, who scored in Rangers’ 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town at the start of August, has led the R’s out in every league game so far this season. And speaking exclusively to The Loftcast this week, 27-year-old Hall revealed that he is enjoying his time as skipper. “This is my fifth season here now, so I’m one of the longest serving players at the club. It’s an added responsibility for me but one that I am really happy to have.
I’ve seen lots of things go on at this club, so I know the club well, I know everyone here and I’m happy to take this responsibility. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it so far and hopefully that will continue throughout the season. I’d be delighted to have it [the captaincy] full-time; nothing has been said yet but I’m sure the gaffer will decide it in the not so distant future.”In his one-on-one sit-down with The Loftcast, Hall also discussed last weekend’s victory at Sheffield Wednesday, manager Mark Warburton and striker Jordan Hugill. He won’t kick on Maids if he can’t stay fit Pretty much that simple. I think his fitness was one reason why a few of us had pre season concerns re the CB department.....

Wonder what'll happen with him this summer
Surely one of our highest earners so the club must be in a difficult position over a contract renewal
Personally think he'll be gone

think he'll stay on reduced terms, no need to leave and won't exactly have other clubs throwing money at him to join them

Think first question should be do we actually want him to stay???
Type of player where I’m not fussed if he goes, neither would I get uptight if he stayed. He’s a vanilla player.
If we want push on next season then he probably becomes a bit part player, like Scowen, as he’s been the constant this season and seasons before in a fragile regularly leaking defence, so perhaps it’s time for change
If it had not been for his clause last season think club would have let him go so what’s changed since last season and this one? other then he’s managed to stay fit

Obviously leistner would make things a whole lot easier if hall was let go.

The rumour is that Toni was sent out on loan to save his wages so it is more likely to be Masterson taking his place if Hall does go.
