he's been found out a bit in the prem as by all accounts he left most of the footballing side of things to beale and now critchley but i don't believe that makes him a bad manager.
gerrard is just managing to his strengths which is leadership and motivation. if he's given time to adapt to that in the prem them he'll become a very good manager imo, especially if he can learn from critchley.

Haven't paid the slightest attention to good old Gary O'Neil since he took one for the team in the play-off final. So it's quite a surprise to see him caretaker-managing Bournemouth, and doing a bloody good job of it. Certainly better than the hapless Scott Parker.
