When you see Brentford, Palace and Fulham in the top half of the prem you have to wonder about the governance of our club.

Viera got Palace playing nicely. Far better manager then I ever thought he would be.

Might not have wanted it or may still be being paid off by Burnley but Southampton is/was perfect project for Dyche.

Not sure Dyche style is preference of most clubs so his options may well be limited.

Not sure Dyche style is preference of most clubs so his options may well be limited. Not sure the Evertons of this world would be too bothered about style at this point. I'm sure Dyche would love to have a go with a club full of football talent, but you have to cut according to your cloth...

Agree, but he knows how to keep a team up against expectations and that’s the priority for basement clubs at the moment.

I'd be amazed if Lump Frankard stays much longer. In the bottom three now and Dyche would be the obvious replacement. But that Everton board and their recruitment team, bloody hell, they've spent over 400 million on players in recent times and look at them. Absolute dross.
Mind you, I hope they keep Lump and he takes them down. Schadenfreude max.

Can’t believe Eddie Howe didn’t start Newcastle’s top team in a competition they could reasonably expect to win given their current form.

Genuinely don’t think most clubs give a toss about the cups until you get 1/4.
Brentford too comfortably mid table and could have a right go out playing reserves. Cups are no more then a distraction now.

Cups are no more then a distraction now. Not so sure about that. ManU and Everton played their best starting 11 yesterday. Maybe some clubs think they will get an easy win with rotated squad, so depends on the opposition.

Champions league football enables them to spend big as cannot do that at the moment due to FFP. The bird who is fronting the owners has not gone there just to make up the numbers.

Just catching up on yesterday's games. Hell of player that James Ward-Prowse. He'd do a job for a good few sides in the top half of the league for me.
