whats everyones thoughts on our business so far?
personally i've been pretty impressed by the business done. all signings have made sense and we've brought in some players with the potential to do well for us.
we were never gunna replace eze, that was obvious but we've done exceptionally well replacing the likes of hall, hugill, wells and eze imo.
lots of shrewd signings, my only gripe is that we are crying out for a better midfielder. if we bring in one of those i think we'll have a solid season

I'm happy with it, maybe get another CB or CM in but otherwise I think we've done as well as we could given the circumstances.

Decent window and the players signed barring Adomah are all taking a step up and are players with lots of improvement in them.

If we get a cb and another lb before the window closes then it would of been a great window!
I said we needed 5/6 players and it looks like the club are going to deliver that and keep BOS.
My fears about relegation are easing and I fully expect us to be a decent mid table team this year that might have an outside chance to flirt with top half maybe higher!

I voted great, but I hope we still have time for a few more additions before the window is shut. As far as rumours are concerned: Mowatt to us, seems to have gone a bit quiet though..and It also looks like Marco Ramkilde is no longer a QPR player. If that is the case, I would say it leaves us woefully short up front..

Hard to say how successful this transfer window has been.
I must say though, i love Dickie, a proper man mountain at the back. finally found our richard dunne replacement.
bonne looked busy in his cameo and am excited about the signing of an arsenal and benfica developed youth in willock.
i really do not rate dykes though.
as for eze's replacement, i personally feel that chair is not capable to fill that void.

So it´s really nothing concrete then, apart from the strange fact that he is not on either squad list. 8 in since last season but only 1 defender. Big gamble from warburton with us having just about the worst defensive record in championship.

Overall good business by the club.
Great options on the wings and up top now, just a little vulnerable at the back. Such a shame we didn’t land one of Flint, Hector or Bennet as that would of capped off an amazing window.
Still think the club have done enough to not be in a relegation fight!

With the unlucky Amos now out for the rest of the season, I feel that we need to bring a new player in. Not sure the club are of the same opinion, but anyway? Who is available? Someone mentioned Bettache as an option?

From the 9 or 10 signings that have been made, at this early point, i can only see potential in 4 of them at the most. they are Dickie,thomas,willock. along with experience in adomah. Bonne looks total shit but i could be proved wrong. Carroll IS shit and i will never be proved wrong. Dykes looks like just another journey man (why did we sell matt smith). Finally, Amos has turned out to be a crock. not his fault of course but that's how it is. |
