Most of us fans, to be fair. Personally, I was close to lose faith in him completly. To be fair to you Shania, fans have a right to be critical and voice an opinion. And let’s face it, his goal scoring record wasn’t anywhere near where you want a strikers to be. A few fans went too far with their criticism though, as they usually do while hiding behind a keyboard.  |

Maybe we’ll benefit from that too as fans. Hopefully he’s been able to focus on his game and improve it due to not having the hate mob on his back. If we end up with a half decent forward out of it then it’s a silver lining in the cloud of no fans at stadiums. As I said, fans have a right to voice their opinions, but some went too far with their vitriol. They just couldn’t wait to stick the knife in as usual. Still, if he has half a brain he’ll have steered clear of Twitter. |

I still think part of the problem has been that his link up play and work rate (and throw ins) have always been fine, he just looked lost up top. That made me think he maybe was out of position as a 9. Purely position wise, the striker he reminded me most of was Harry Kane - without the goals.
Now he's got a bit of confidence though, massive difference. Twitter is a cess pit.

Given the proper coaching you could turn Dykes from a £1.5 million player into a £10,£15 eventually a £20 million player. He could reach the same levels as Mitrovic of Fulham, at least, within a couple of seasons, pretty quickly. If you know how to do it. Resurrected as a nod to Comic Relief today.... 😁 That aged well |

Link up play really good so begs the question where we’re these performances mid season? He’s clearly not a bad player so is it just that he was unlucky or was he not putting a shift in? Looks a different player now and I’m delighted for him. I’m just a bit concerned that if this is a confidence thing what happens the next time he hits a dry spell? There are no prisoners at this level. Wish the lad all the luck in the world because if he does well we do well. |

You’ve had to wait long enough, so have we. I’d watched him playing for a season at Livingston, l know his potential and what he is capable of. And I didn’t doubt myself, even when everyone said I was wrong. Anyway, I’m glad he’s playing well for QPR, and as I said in my first posts on here, I think you’ve got a bargain. |
