May have been a 'lucky' goal against Faroes, but he makes those runs and gets in where it hurts - makes his own luck. Bloody well done Lyndon

He knew nothing about it but what is a massive improvement in his game is that he’s finally getting into the right places. Early days Dykes was never going to get lucky because he was never where he should be.

Just seen his Mrs post a pic of him in a protective boot with the caption 'Great start to the weekend' and a crying emoji.
It never rains but it pours!

When he slid in win ball second half he was limping after that so assuming was from that challenge
Played on to the end so assuming it can’t be that big an issue 🤞🏾

It’s a valid question why he was allowed to join Scotland injured, only to - as WLS reported - “suffer a further setback”.

Are we suggesting that the reason Dykes has been so poor of late is that he's been playing through injury?
Not being funny but the guy has been like this since we first signed him. Months on end where you barely notice he's on the pitch followed by purple patches where he scores most weeks. A total enigma of a player and a guy I really try my best to stick up for. His current form is impossible to defend however. He's been absolutely dire for months now.

I think we can do away with the myth that Austin’s arrival improved him as Austin is still here and he’s playing as badly as he was before Austin’s arrival on loan
As Tarbs says he just hit a purple patch around Austin arrival and as we always do as fans we got over excited and linked the two when in truth it had fuck all to do with Austin
Cant work out Dykes as you get a glimpse here and there that he could be a reasonable player but in truth he’s been total shite.
Washington MK2 keeps getting opportunities and more rope but rarely delivers for faith given to him

Scores the odd goal, but nothing else. His positioning is shite. His ability to hold up the ball poor, and he wins almost nothing in the air.
For Willock's goal yesterday, he ran to the far post putting a defender directly between him and Willock. Crazy.

Dare I suggest, either he believes he made it, I’m a international, don’t have to try, or his agent , Mrs etc in his ear saying your too good to be where you are.

For Willock's goal yesterday, he ran to the far post putting a defender directly between him and Willock. Crazy. [br He drops off the defender and makes a move towards the back post for a ball across the face of the goal. Not really sure why you’re expecting him to do there. If he goes front post and the defender follows he’s congestion the area and putting more bodies in willocks angle. If he goes to the back post to anticipate the a ball across goal and gets criticised. If he does nothing he gets criticised. It seems some on here have a new whipping boy. We’ve seen this with dykes every time he comes back from a spell of not playing.

Its not just lyndon weve got three strikers Not scoring if we are honest
At least Austin knows where the net is If only for 60 mins
I would never have bought Austin if i knew He could only play 60 minutes in a match
Wtf is that all about

It’s not whipping boy Greg he’s clearly on his career with us so far not good enough.
Forget the goals tally and focus elsewhere he offers absolutely nothing in any other department of his game
His nee trick is trying win freekicks and falling over looking at ref when as the talisman he should be fighting for the ball and giving cb hard time not wimping out looking for soft freekicks
Serious question as our main striker what do you say he brings to the table?

I think when he’s in the swing of things he puts himself about and occupies defenders, is a focal point and has a decent finish on him. I’m not saying he’s a world beater, far from it, I just think some of the Criticism he gets is a bit over the top considering players like Austin also does absolutely fuck all. Gray was getting pellets earlier in the season with posters accusing him of sulking when things don’t go his way and that he’s lazy. Perhaps, as gen points out, the real issue is service. None of them really get much to go off of. I think the main problem with dykes is he doesn’t come back from injury or international duty well. That’s every single occasion and for me that’s not good enough and something he needs to work on. Barring mitrovic and Diaz there aren’t any outstanding forwards at this level. If you go across all the clubs at our level who really stands out?
