Taking Willock off changed the game. He was combining well with Chair and it showed. He was a touch of class and was giving Rotherham problems. No way is the bloke tired. Rest him Friday if you must but cane Rotherham first.This. We risked dropping two points tonight because of his perpetual over-cautious attitude. The counter-argument is he's thinking ahead and planning for the next game, but that argument always collapses because plans too often go wrong. It's far more pragmatic to just put teams to bed to be sure of all the points and take one game at a time. Warbs got lucky tonight and made poor subs. |

Willock was the one incomer with a little bit of class. You could see it a mile off on his show reels, heads up player, spots whats on and can go past a man.
So it was pretty obvious that Willock / Chair / BOS played together could do some damage. Trying to protect a lead and look after your top boy is fine as long as you have the nous back there to sit on it.
That's the bit that's still a concern....
This is a great season to be playing away, I'd like to see us really go for it more on the road. It's not like this division is packed with great sides.

We have been quite lucky with injuries so far this season. Or is it because we are making substitutions and rotating? You obviously love MW so Again why make any Always love a winning manager. |
