We are playing much smarter football since the start of January. Finding a way to win rather than being obsessed with playing silky football. I'd love to know what conversations happened behind the scenes that led to this change of approach. Keep this up though and we could possibly sneak a play off spot. Shift to three at the back. Suits Dickie much better. Plus Chaz and Stefan. No Bright. All good. Shame it didn't happen earlier. Especially no Bright.

Credit do powers that be, Les and co, for sticking with Warbs. It was clearly squad that needed strengthening. I think MW needed to rethink. And credit to him, he'd done that. Someone deffo had a word.

Great result and well done to players and management for the run we are on. The recruitment of 2 very good senior pros in Austin and Johansen has transformed the team. And Field. Shall we hear it for Evil Les for once? If we are supposed to be giving credit where it's due....... Alan. I said after the Brentford game credit was due for the last window we have had which included all involved on and off the pitch. The 2 experienced guys have helped Cameron, Wallace and Barbet by having a big influence during the games.

Not having a rotten apple playing week in week out has also helped.

Someone deffo had a word. My thoughts too. I reckon he's been taken to 1 side and reminded that the most important thing is to win.

We have decent first eleven but until the jan signings nothing really behind that.

We’ve won the games we expected to lose so expect us to lose at Preston a game we would expect to win. You know it’s the rangers way

Do i need to google it perhaps? I don't think you do... So I haven't seen a second of that. How were we? How was Dykes? Did we win despite everything? or did we boss it? I would say it was more than a bit of magic involved today. I would go as far as call it luck, but who cares? We won:)

Especially no Bright. 3 at the back (despite the glaring absence of a genuine left sided wing back), definitely suits this squad better. Removal of a bad egg in the form of BOS may well have helped too. Adding someone as vocal and passionate as Austin has clearly been hugely positive. Without the crowd noise you can hear just how influential he is over the live feed. I do still think there is more to our change in fortunes. We are certainly playing a different, more direct brand of football.

To avoid relegation? Do you still think that's a realistic possibility Bill?

Strange game this. We played well but lost. Now we play ugly and win. Things are just levelling off. Now we are probably where we deserve to be.

I think the fact we've learned how to win ugly and (for the most part) defend properly make this probably the most encouraging period of Warburton's time as Manager. We've always played great football under him in patches. This combined with better game management and the ability to win ugly is probably the right combination for this division.

If only we could get Willock and Albert in the starting line up I’m certain that Charlie Dykes and Bonne would be scoring regularly ....if they did then I really would start thinking about the play offs being realistic.
For me Bonne looked very unlucky not to score today.

On the bright side we’re making massive savings in Bonnes goal bonus

Bit harsh mate..hit the post and one cleared off the line...very difficult for any striker to convert what our M/F is serving up right now.

Come on mate, the one that came off the post was an open goal.
I'm not one of the boo brigade by any stretch, but I will call a spade a spade. For this level, Bonne's finishing and composure in front of goal are well below par!

The fact he’s there to miss does give me hope it could come good

For this level, Bonne's finishing and composure in front of goal are well below par! It was an instinctive strike because it came at him at speed..there was a defender on the line protecting South Africa rd side of goal so not an open goal imo but a very good chance all the same. Not calling you part of any boo brigade but at least him a run of full games before writing him off. When chances are few and far between it’s very easy for an inexperienced Striker to snatch at chances

He's had a lot less game time than Dykes too.

Exactly. We were unlucky for a long spell. Played well but lost. I know Warbs lost a lot of fans but he never lost the dressing room. Deserved to get his chance after the transfer window.

They looked like they were just really struggling
