Not so sure about that. We had our best stint after the substitutions. He took our only goal threat off on 55 minutes and replaced him with a cardboard cutout. He takes off willock and throws on another defensive midfielder. We got what we deserved because of cowardly subs. We’ve been on a great run and I’ve got no issues with the effort but warbs basically tied our hands behind our own backs with some shocking subs. Dykes, as far as I’m concerned can fuck right off out of this club. He IS NOT good enough. We’ve shot ourselves in the foot today Yet we had our best chances after the substitutions. We were controlling the game and they scored against the run of play. Were were not under pressure and didn't sit back.

Dykes is not a championship standard striker and I’m sick and fucking tired of watching him run around like a headless chicken. Ball was a passenger, bonne did absolutely fuck all. For me, a side that’s 1 up away to a team that hasn’t won in 12 at home doesn’t take off it’s goal threat after 55 minutes and replace it with a statue

Can't shoot, can't pass, can't dribble, can't head, he truly is an amazing football player, amazing as in it's amazing he made it to pro level.

We have been poor last three games. Not going to be any easy wins this season.
About todays game. I would have kept Willock and Austin on for 10 more minutes. Would have taken Chair on for Willock, instead of Field. But overall we played much better second half than first half. We were lucky to be leading but were unlucky to lose.

We have always seemed to do better against teams above us than below. It's the QPR way. Would much rather the opposite, we got 2 games in hand against teams below us, said the other day they're just the sort of games we'd lose.

I could be wrong, but I`m not sure we watched different games, but I feel the goals were coming after Stefan missed that sitter.

Missed chances cost us and the subs look like they made us much weaker. Not sure we can expect to much with Bonne and Dykes finishing games as neither have contributed a great deal so far. Dykes is totally shot and looks like a player that just needs keeping off the pitch. Bonne on the other hand seems even worse and that is a worry going forward.

Totally agree, nothing to choose between Dykes and Bonne although Bonne hasn't played much which must have an effect. Time to pair Kelman with Austin? Learn from a decent striker? What's to lose? Might just work....before we ship him out on loan somewhere next season.

Yeah, thank god for Charlie cos the other 3 strikers in the squad are all starting to look like very poor purchases. I dunno what has happened to Dykes. It all looked so encouraging in his first few weeks. Scoring for club and country and looking confident. He looks like a Sunday League player at the moment.

I thought Dykes played quite OK when he came on today, but we really miss a reliable cover for Austin. Are people on here sure we can`t bring one in on loan?

Transfer window is closed so no loans. Suppose free transfers but if someone is without a club now guess there is a reason

Just to point out, that is the first away game we've lost since 05 Dec. Coming up for three months. We have won our last three home games. Neither of those are regular achievements. We have 20 points out of the last 30, two points per game. Yes today was disappointing, Yes our options up front are poor apart from Charlie. Our top scorer has 5 goals and it's nearly March, which is really shit. But compared to where we were at Christmas, it is probably a lot better than any of us would have hoped for. As mentioned elsewhere, we are better against teams we are expected to lose to than against teams we are expected to beat. Yes that seems to be the QPR way, but we need to address that. Two games a week will take it's toll, and I know it'a the same for everyone, but it means most games are down to fatigue as much as form or quality. I'm as pissed off as anyone with today, but taken into context, Derby aside, this is the first shit day this year. So on the whole I think were going in the right direction, and we've done pretty well in the last couple of months, given what we have had to contend with, both striker wise and fixture congestion wise. Now we'll probably lose six on the trot!

I refer you to the comments I made about Dykes Bonne and Kelman not being fit for purpose (albeit for different reasons) 24 hours before the game. I first said it a month ago. I also offered a solution which looks more sensible by the day. It wont happen. Unfortunately MW doesn't have the scope to do the job properly - it took him 18 months to start remedying basic defects. Everyone at the club is fine with that apparently. The reality is that with this board and this manager this is about as good as it gets. We wont go down but we're not really progressing.

Our recent form has been great. You also can’t fault the effort. You’re always going to lose games like this in this league. But it was I feel a massive missed opportunity, just like Preston on Wednesday. 2 poor sides. We’ll now meander to finish bottom half but safe. That’s good but we’ve missed a good chance. This is a poor league.

Which just makes it harder to take. The decent run is history. The reality is now. That's how managers are supposed to think. If you sign people who just aren't good enough and get found out, you don't just go on playing them. You find another way. You could easily pick an 11 with more threat in the top third and not start Dykes and Bonne (or Kelman). Gaffer just can't see it. Give him 18 months and the penny will drop.
