Well worth a listen.
This is the second part but is where a lot of QPR related stuff starts.
19.00 onwards.
Wait until you hear him digging out WATRB & grass Pete & his relationship with Paladini. It all makes sense now.
Enjoy!

Great player for us before the freak injury.
Interesting comments about Briatore:
"A control freak. Should never be anywhere near a football club. Hasn’t got a clue about football. An absolute arsehole"
Yup, makes sense.

An absolute arsehole"Yup, makes sense. Doesn’t it just, yet ironically we can’t argue with the fact he succeeded in his 4 year plan. We all know who and how it was done but I guess it was under his watch. Awful man though. Arrogant & power hungry.

I thought that was fascinating. Like watching a movie. He's got issues, but he's entertaining. Didn't expand upon Neil not playing him.

He didn’t but did call him a c*** 😂 so obviously some history there.
Odd as it seems like NW went looking to sign him and didn’t just inherit him.

An absolute arsehole"Yup, makes sense. Coupla matters arising. In terms of ppg, the Flava Flav regime was more successful than the current one, and more sustainable (ie they did it for less wedge, relatively speaking). Vine's pre injury record is better, but it isn't that great. Mind you I'm only talking about goals scored, assists didn't exist back then

I personally thought Vine was a great player prior to his broken leg.

Liked vine pre injury thought he brought loads to the team. He’s clearly a bit of a cunt though

I'll never forget that Wegerle-esque goal he scored for us. Can't find it on youtube unfortunately.

There's a scene in four year plan where Briatore uses the doctor vine nickname that he mentioned.

I'm sure people on here will remember it. Just strange that there's no record of it on the interweb.

Just watching this podcast. Christ he's a gobby fucker! Have you watched the first part of part 1 🤦🏻♂️🤣 He’s not wired up right haha. As gobby as he is I don’t think he’s a bullshitter. I think he has zero fucks and whatever he says is probably pretty spot on. Entertaining to say the least 😄

Watched all of both episode mates. I reckon there is a bit of ADHD about him. Decent insight though, not often you get a proper warts and all like that. Can't help but having a bit of sympathy for Vine, even if some of his struggles have pretty clearly been self inflicted. Love the fact after recounting 2 and half hours of debauchery he signs off with "I just wanna be a good example to my kids".

As you say I’m sure he made plenty of mistakes himself, which players haven’t? At first I thought what a knob but once he calmed down I think he seems a decent enough fella.

He was great for us, really good on the ball. But he wasn't the same after the injury.

Never realised the Pickens incident was a deliberate 2-footed challenge.
Have to say that, generally I believe him. Briatore was an arrogant sh*t and nothing about what Vine says about him surprises me in the least.
He was treated appallingly, like so many under that regime.

Genuine Geezer. Had always thought he was a chancer tbh. Funny too. Lol at his observation, when the other fellas says they thought Warnock a God, 'Am I supposed to give a fuck?'

He was also one of the best players we met during those year way back. Playing for Luton I think..

I didn’t know anything about a goalkeeper doing it myself personally so whether it was out there or not I’m not sure.
Poor form from the keeper though I must say.

Pickens never intended to break his leg, but he did intend to hurt him and saw the red mist after Vine had been winding him up. Vine did make that clear.

Had a brief chat with him in a petrol station while we were both filling up. I think it was around about the time of him coming back but I’m almost certain that there was another problem as well. Something to do with his stomach.
