I suspect a lot of players haven't adjusted to clubs financial restraints and still asking for same if not more money.

I’m not surprised. Toilet player. So pleased we’ve jogged a lot of the old guard on, we needed this change

I see Bidwell went to Swansea, but other than him, have any or the first team players we released found clubs?

Yeah, I'd forgot about Cousins mate. Baptiste has gone to Luton too I see.
Pav is the one that surprises me. You'd have thought he'd have options. Makes you wonder how much we were paying him.

According to The Sun journalist Alan Nixon, League One side Sunderland are taking a look at free agent centre-back Joel Lynch, who is available on a free transfer after his contract with Queens Park Rangers expired earlier this summer Sunderland are looking at the free agent market as Jack Ross hopes to further bolster his ranks before the transfer window slams shut on September 2nd. And, with a centre-back on his shopping list, it is said that the Black Cats are considering a move for Joel Lynch. Journalist Alan Nixon reported the news on Twitter on Thursday evening, saying: Alan Nixon @reluctantnicko "Sunderland. Looking into taking centre half Joel Lynch. Free agent. Trained at Sheff U month or so back. Got a vacancy ..."Lynch is available on a free transfer after departing Championship side Queens Park Rangers at the end of last season, with the club opting against extending his deal at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. Lynch trained with Premier League side Sheffield United earlier this summer and could be offered a return to football with Sunderland. The 31-year-old defender is vastly experienced at Championship level, having also spent time in League One. Across the course of his career, Lynch has played 396 career matches, with a hefty 308 of those appearances coming in the Championship and 63 coming in the third-tier. He came through the youth academy at Brighton and Hove Albion and spent four years with the club before making the switch to Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window of 2008. Another four years passed before he made his next move, joining Huddersfield Town at the age of 24. Four years later, Lynch swapped Huddersfield for QPR, where he remained until this summer. He has also collected one international cap along the way, making his sole appearance for his country in 2012. Now, with Sunderland keen, it awaits to be seen if the club look to bring him in. the72.co.uk/143168/sunderland-eyeing-up-deal-for-former-nottingham-forest-huddersfield-town-and-qpr-defender/

He’s nowhere near good enough to even be classed as mediocre. Fucking cheeky prick. Wouldn’t mind if he could back it up but he’s an absolute donkey!! Couldn’t even get a championship club to take him On!! Hope the Sunderland fans aren’t expecting him to be available over the festive period. Cunt

Awful CB and Sunderland will soon realise that.
He had fair bit of support from fans at QPR but I struggle to see why. The stick Ned took when he played alongside him but Lynch sailed under the radar
Honestly one of the worse CB I’ve seen play for us

Seriously Tarbs one of the worst has no redeeming features See I find it hard to rank him as bad as some of the names I've mentioned above. Purely because there have been a few periods during his time with the club where he has played really well. Case in point would be first half of last season during that purple patch we had. He barely put a foot wrong for a long period of time. But I see why you dislike him. His inclination just to hoof the ball long was infuriating, at times he would switch off and fail to do the basics. Quite frankly when he was bad, he was absolutely terrible. But we've had numerous Centre Halves here who have never had a good game for us!

I keep trying to point that out to Westy but he aint having it lol! IIRC his counter-argument was "Oh every player has a purple patch at least once in their career." Only teasing Wests 😜 But seriously, didn't he have a decent period at Huddersfield too? We signed him off the back of their play off season I thought, with Smithies around the same period?

Was a very poor centre half barring that 8 to 10 game period last season.

He had decent spell of three months but either side of that was turd
Robbed us most Christmas by going on family holiday, when he did play he gave away penalties, stupid free kicks which led to goals, picked up red cards for nothing and was one of the clumsiest CBs I’ve watched. Add to the above he was lazy, bit of a bully and would drop his head when the game had gone
Reckon he’s probably bit of a knob too

Always had a mistake in him but then so have most of the CB's we've had in recent years bar the legend himself Clint Hill
