Defo need a plan B. Not only that, but it's good for the opposition to not know for certain what shape you'll play. Just saw the highlights, always disappointing seeing away fans sit down. The one thing that let Warbs down at the Bees was he never had a plan B other than to do plan A better. So good he's looking at one. You chaps seem to have made some excellent signings and with your form 2nd half last season fully expecting PlayOffs at least! Dont know about Fulham. Harry Wilson? Meh. But Grimes is a good signing.

To be fair, with Dykes and Austin we have a bit of everything, so we can mix it up. They can both do what they need to with a passing game and pressing, but we can also just pump it long, get crosses in early and put pressure on defences that way.

The game changed when we went 4-4-2 in the second half. One thing to be learned, keep with the three at the back. If you look at the positioning of the players we played like a 442 all game. The main difference for the drop in performance was the absence of a "pure" holding midfielder after Ball was subbed, IMO. It was a very attack minded midfield in the second half. Luckily we´ve got Stefan as well as Ball to do that job, but I am afraid that Dozell may not be ready to do the dirty defensive work required for that position. Looks to be a good passer of the ball, Dozzell. Hopefully he will step up to the task, but it could be a problem that we don´t have Field to fill in to that defensive midfield for maybe half the season.

we can't always play with 3 at the back. remember, one of our main gripes with warbs was his inibility to switch it up and try a different approach.
there will be plenty of times that we'll have to switch to 4 at the back so its good to work on it. an example would be if we were losing and needed to bring on another attacker, the obvious sub would be one of the CBs.
