Perhaps we can do a deal with Bristol for Nahki seeing as he's out of favour there.

Wells is maybe over the top now? Would still go for it though.

Lindon 9 goals and 4 assists in last 13 games apparently. Not bad for a donkey if that’s true.

Nketiah? Played 17 games for them last season and judging by how they played last weekend, they'll need all the help they can get!

This is where the B team will help us. We will have strikers who have played against old pros and fully established players so we'll be able to put them in the 1st team when needed.
Too risky a jump straight from the U23 side at the moment.

We were heavily linked with a Man. Utd. attacker a while ago.

We were heavily linked with a Man. Utd. attacker a while ago. Heavily? Who was it? I don't remember anything apart from a wishful look at Elanga after the friendly he scored in. No paper talk.

That really isn’t old or past it in any way and every single time he’s played at this level he’s ripped it a new arsehole. With the service our team provides he would be a major asset imo. Gives us lots of options. I actually think the same in a way about gray. Granted he’s not ripped up any trees lately but has always been handy and I just think this squad is any half sensible forwards wet dream

Does seem like he'll be turning 32. Anyway I agree with all your other points

Don't really see anyone as a "must keep" myself Shania. End of the day, if a big club comes in with silly money for any of our players we need to consider it. As much as we all want promotion, and we are in better financial shape than we have been in a while, we are a small club with fairly modest revenues. If somebody wants to come in with 20 or 30 million quid for anyone in our squad, there is a good chance they will go.

So I'd say fans and board alike are fully on the same page. I agree with what you say of course, but to balance that out, the board would also need to consider any 'silly offers' being offset against a realistic chance of promotion which in the near, mid and long-term would result in even greater revenue generation.

Yes, it would be silly to sell if we are in with half a shout of promotion, IMO. And the teams character after this start with 8 points from 4 games, on top of second half of last season, we even look like automatic promotion contenders. Squad a bit thin perhaps, so better to invest a small amount in an extra striker. Promotion is worth more than a 100 million pounds. We will be very lucky to generate even half that amount from player sales over a couple of seasons.

Get Charlie on the Atkins and he might get off the ground - still knows how to put the ball away though, despite a couple of desperation efforts today. Wasn’t the only one below par.
