He's either unfit or an old man who's past it. Neither bodes well for us.However, despite how bad he was today - and at times it was woeful - when it mattered he was in the right place at the right time and that's what people will remember. Don't think he should be considered 1st choice still. You could be true, but I was more refering to the knee injury he alledgedly picked up a few weeks ago. He looked sooooo slow.... He was incredibly slow at times. The thing is, both could be true. At his age it's a lot harder to recover from injuries and they will leave an indelible mark. |

Charlie took his goal really well when he could have snatched at it,
With dykes out he's the best we have up top.Team did well after being mauled 1st half . We couldn't live with tykes tempo or closing us down.Albert looked great taking on and beating defenders . Probably just about right the result . Thought dunne and ball were excellent , ball calming things down and looking to drive forward .Think a lot of teams think they will roll over Barnsley as they've lost Chaplin, dikes and mowatt but they were really good 1st half but couldn't keep up the energy

A point at the death, almost feels like a win.
The players must have been knackered after Wednesday's long trip to Middlesbrough and playing with 10 for so long.
Great for team morale, and unbeaten still in the new season - bloody well done!
Suspect many will be rested for the Carabao game against Oxford.

He did score but is anyone really going to say he was effective before that? As I said earlier, we were playing with 10 men effectively. I think we need to stop thinking about Austin of 10 years ago as we haven't signed him. If Dykes loses form or becomes long term injured I personally don't think Austin is in a position to lead the front line and it worries me that we have not brought in a loanee to partner Dykes. |

Saw the highlights. Barbet put in some shift to set up Charlie. Obvious third choice LWB. Kakay ain't able play on the left, is he? At sixes and sevens. Great goal by Chair.

Fair play to Kakay he was massively improved after half time. But to completely switch off for 1st goal…..really needs to make sure that doesn’t happen again. Not only for conceding chances/goals in big games but defenders will lose confidence. The other 3 were in perfect line. |
