I raised this at the last SCC meeting with the club (Chaired by Hoos), pointing out that it's only been a problem this season and never before. It seems like certain areas of the pitch are much darker than others. The club say they're now looking into it, so hopefully watch this space...
A few on here confirmed that it's not just an issue with the club's official stream (or on TV) but in the actual ground too, ruling out a kind of optical illusion. Interestingly when I raised it at the meeting the club had no knowledge of it at all despite several highlighting the issue, at least on this forum.

If I remember correctly they visibly dimmed in the first half v Oxford and you could see players’ shadows - like the good old days😁

Strange, because when LFW raised this issue, Lee Hoos explained it as an optic illusion and nothing else.

Strange, because when LFW raised this issue, Lee Hoos explained it as an optic illusion and nothing else. That's what Hoos told me at the meeting too, strangely enough. But according to West Acton they acted on it in time for the Birmingham game...I've since been told that they're still looking into it, so I guess we'll find out at the next evening game.

Brighter my ass. It's considerably darker. We're not fools. And it's not helped by the ghastly glare from the side hoardings.

Tbh I can think of a few night games when we'd have craved for darkness. the 6-0 defeat to newcastle springs to mind for me lol. earliest i've ever left a game as i left around the 60th minute. as i was walking towards the turnstiles i heard newcastles fans celebrating their 5th goal lol

It was quite dark out there. Their statement yesterday said it would be fixed in time for the Luton game.

It wasn’t literally dark, but it appears that way due to the floodlights not evenly distributing light throughout the pitch, as per their statement. Hence the contrasting patches you see. At least they’re aware of the issue now so should hopefully be resolved by the Luton game

Lights are still fucking awful - looks like we’ve got bored with subject. Cue sighs of relief from Lee Hoos. Take a look at last night’s EFL highlights for comparison with others.

Thinking the exact same. Glad it's not just me, so clearly it's still a problem. All that's changed is the brighter areas are even brighter, but there's still lots of darker areas in the penalty boxes.

It's like a torch that is zoomed in onto one place, rather than zooming out and making a greater area, brighter. Numbers wise, it's probably better. The darkest spots are probably lighter, but look darker because we have some parts of the pitch that are so lit up.

The darker bits are wrong Sponge that’s why there are sharp black shadows in the boxes.
