Play a similar team to Tuesday and try to win the tie and hope for Arsenal or Spurs next. The club need to have a go at this cup as with a good draw at home in next could mean a Semi Final place which would be a nice windfall for us. assuming we beat sunderland it'd be good runout for our fringe players to get some minutes against arsenal |

Sunderland usually travel in numbers so expect them to pack out away end. Hopefully we turn up too so expecting a reasonably big crowd Three home games in the cup.with three decent crowds compared to other seasons. Surely we’re making little bit of cash out this run? Fingers crossed we get through, then get a prem side which would probably be on the box. Unexpected dough for the club. Does feel bit like our luck has changed in recent seasons I think they need to price at £15 st + members and £20 for all others. Or at most £20 + £25. It doesn't have the appeal of Everton so we can't charge that high but you're right and Sunderland will travel well. Tough game though, they are doing well. So happy we are at home rather than away though, that would have been a nightmare. |

I think there is good vibe around club current moment and we’re not used to cup runs so fans are buying in. Think personally crowd will be on par with if not bigger then Everton, less the 13invaders who won’t be allowed 🤣😂

Timmy and Ginge almost fell out over this surprisingly contentious issue after the Everton game. I'm with Timmy, Vesps and 77 on it and fail to even see the debate tbh. Proof is in the pudding as we're in the last 16 now with a great chance of progressing to the quarters, not to mention some much needed revenue generated. As Cloughie used to say players would much rather play than train - thanks Alan for reminding us of that one. |

No one cares about this cup ... until you accidently make it through to the quarters. i certainly do , beating Orient ,Oxford and Everton was no accident either ! The thought of a cup final at Wembley thrills me more than any league position too ! |

Saying that Arsenal are that bad we can put reserves out pretty much this lol. i think even lumley would have a solid chance of keeping a clean sheet against them. and yeah, i don't really care about the cups as we've never ever gone on a run during my 20 or so years of supporting us so it kind of sucked the passion for cups out of me  that being said, i'm over the moon that we've reached the last 16 of the LC. i expected us to lose against everton so for us to beat them is something quite special, gutted that i didn't go but i'll certainly be going to the sunderland game |

Put out are strongest team each and every game , worry about injuries IF they happen. A winning mentality in a team breeds confidence. We go into the wba game having beaten a PL team , warbs will have this behind him in his team talk . If we'd have gone weak and lost 3 nil to Everton it would be really hard to motivate the players for tomorrow's game against one of the best teams in the league

Not sure that's really how it works these days 72. Every club has Sports Scientists who monitor the players and advise the Manager how fit each player is etc. They know when a player needs a rest, or when they might only have 30 minutes in the tank etc.
Ignore the data and that's when you end up seeing more instances of soft tissue injuries etc.
It really is a squad game if you want to compete across multiple competitions.
