There is nothing wrong and no attitudes that’s just easy excuse to make. There just going through bad patch no more no less Austin I think knows he’s on the way down and it shows in his body language and general persona. Been a hero for us but he’s really struggling. He’s an off the bench player now, lino gets decision right and it’s worked but aside from that what has he offered last few outings? His pen screamed low in confidence Think we might be in for more pain Friday night. This cup run has been unnecessary distraction so it odd way glad we’re out. Thanks. You get points for the effort, mate. I am still pissed off though. I think you cant rule out dressing room unrest as it can be the problem. Having said that we usually suffer a dip in form at this time of the year,why i dont know. Whatever the problem it is not acceptable,if players dont look interested. |

Watching that disallowed goal back, not just is he never offside, it's a handball by the defender too. If he don't wanna give the goal, he should give the pen. Awful decision. Ain't having it as an excuse though. At home to a side a division below, we shouldn't be chasing the game with 5 mins to go anyway. It’s one of worst decisions i think I’ve seen looking back. I mean it’s not even close. What was he thinking? surely the only reason can be he thinks keeper is last man as is normally the case. Loads of moans about VAR but that’s where it comes into its own. Aside from Amos no I’m not suggesting positives. All I’m saying is just because a side is losing a few don’t mean there is bad bunch or break in Camp. Sides win games they should lose and vice Versa If we suddenly win a few on trot does it mean it’s a good camp. They are low in confidence in my view. Got a few players who were playing out their skin last season and start of this who I think started believing the hype around them, let you guys decide who They could be, who are now distinctly average. Chair for one |

However unlucky we were with the offside……why the hell did we decide to start chair in central midfield for the first time this season in this game?! Yep. Amos and Chair were too lightweight in combo. We totally failed to grab ahold of midfield and they pretty much bosses it for large parts if the game. Lyndon and Sugar Ray Grey were as mobile as traffic cones. We really missed Chair further forward. Can't play three at the back if we haven't the wing backs. But can't play four because Dickie's so slow. We are so seriously limited. Can see any way to improve other than Field coming back, the Scottish crock being fit. and Stefan turning up. Play Duke McKenna. Certainly have him on the bench. Penalties? They're taking the piss. We were unlucky with offside but we shouldn’t be relying on that. We’re at home against side in league below. |

I think bringing Duke McKenna in might the only wildcard we have up our sleeve until January. And in Jan we need take a look at the wing back options and probably up top too, which is a disgrace considering we have 2 of the highest earners in the division within our 3 striking options.

We play one way and when it’s not working we still play the same way. We have no game changers, only like for like. Amos was terrific. really? Last few games we have played two up top which is total opposite of the one up top normally used or am I missing something. Personally don’t get why we have gone two up look better one imo Yes clearly, because he tend to play his favourites formations and players over and over again even when it doesnt function. MacKenna and Dozzell i.e. have not been given chances in a variety positions at all. George Thomas has not been seen anywhere after he played quite well in a short cameo some weeks ago. I honestly don`t get because Warburton has time and time again highlighted the need for using the squad wisely, but IMO he doesn`t. |

Just on way home. Couple of points or am I wide of the mark here.
Barbet is fucking pony. Made 2-3 good blocks but yet again almost costs us a goal like he did on Saturday. My confidence in him is waining rapidly.
Why play Amos for 95 odd mins. The fella hasn’t played a full game in over a year. Wrong subs AGAIN.
Austin bless him is totally shot of confidence.
Dieng. Shittest keeper I’ve ever seen in front of a penalty taker. One of there’s, third I think was 1 foot from his body ffs but he’s jumping around like a prick so has no balance.
Duke McKenna. Play the kid. He has bollox and energy. More than can be said for most of that side.
Chair off the boil again.
Dykes fighting a losing battle up front. Wins headers for what? Never anyone mopping up around him.
Grey just not doing it although looked better than he has done.
All in all total bollox of a result.

Until we sort the left hand side out in an attacking sense we will keep on struggling as that has been our most reliable side for the past 2 seasons. Moses rubbish on both sides, Chair and Willock had a lot of the ball but not in the areas needed. All in all a very poor night and we got what the performance deserved. Only bright spot was Amos who did well considering his time out

I also wonder why Dozzell now seldom gets a chance. He was so good pre-season. No-wonder he tends to pass the ball backwards when he gets a chance.

I was in R block and he got total pelters
Tbf Sunderland played very well made it very difficult
They did not look a league 1 team
