I’d play one up, Gray, with an extra man in midfield supporting. Austin to come on if needed. Gray isn’t as bad as he’s made out, just give him the ball quicker when he makes his runs.

Couldn't agree more with your assesment of Gray. Plus, he holds the ball up better than Dykes and Austin do. I quite like the idea of 2 up top again though. Have been struck down with covid (think I caught it at the WBA game!) so will be following the match from my bed listening to Andy Sinton and Nick London on QPR plus or (shhhh...) watching a dodgy stream if I can find one. Will toast all you lot going with a Lemsip. Really hope we can grind out a result here, a draw wouldn't be a disaster but a win would be sensational. Get well soon stainrod. Johannsen Field/Amos/Dozzell Willock Gray Austin/Dykes I much prefer two forwards but the way we play so much in midfield we may just as well have an extra man breaking forward as opposed to Austin and Dykes doing bugger all if they’re not scoring. Austin isn’t the player he was but you’d never bet against him coming on and scoring. Dykes just isn’t - so Gray for me if we can’t do better. At least he can still move and is a good finisher. |
