wow, a proper clear out so far and arguably much needed. since our relegation we've largely balanced out to be an unambitious midtable club full of the same faces as always. i hope we do reinstall some continuity going forward though, maybe a promotion for furlong as first team coach is on the cards.

Lovely. Getting rid of all the old dead wood. This is what i meant by changes at the club, also more to do with the ground,i guess thats further down the line. I only hope these new people at the helm know what they are doing. Unlike a lot of people i look at results not so called reputations,a lot of people in this world talk a lot and achieve nothing.

The reshuffle continues. Paul Hall has gone, I'm sure some of you will be delighted 🤣 Fucking yessssssssszszzzzssssssss Finally, we are shot of mr keeps uppies. I guess Marti was not fond of his ability to make a decent cup of tea. All his highlights are of him doing keepy uppies by himself during pre match warmup and telling the fourth official what number to put up on the digital substitutes board. Thanks for everything Paul hall, you useless idiot.

We have also seemed pretty top heavy for a club of our size/ current status. Someone posted a stat about how many more staff we employ than Millwall and it was ridiculous. Much as I hate paying footballers obscene amounts of money, the more of our budget we can spend on people who will actually impact a game is probably for the best.

Much as I hate paying footballers obscene amounts of money, the more of our budget we can spend on people who will actually impact a game is probably for the best. Yeah, it always seemed we had too many and that coaches have joined over time without seeming to be a replacement for everyone. I think it is almost impossible for any of us to judge who is a good or bad coach (other than the first team coach). So I do not subscribe to the thinking that they are all rubbish and all have to go. Nor do I subscribe to it is all evil Les's fault - but accept he had a lot to answer to. But credit to Marti and Nourry for working through with what we had to Championship survival, and then reviewing individually not collectively until the date we could afford to pay them off. The integration of the squads to Heston should have made for some economies earlier, but we could not afford to release them. Only in football do the sensible commercial decisions not make any financial sense - you need to pay people off but cannot. As a group of coaches, they have lived through and survived so many administrations. I guess that Warburton's way was to exclude and ignore them - he probably wanted them gone. Then Ainsworth asked for a completely different style of play from them. But it is another example of we now do things properly, and is a big statement of support for Marti and what he feels he needs to succeed.

Too many cooks spoil the broth. Hopefully Marti is streamlining the back room staff and won't need as many coaches hanging about doing kick ups.

I just hope Marti has a good replacement lined up. We have just released plenty of last seasons development squad but signed a bunch of young players all of whom have good presss on their ability and potential. I have afeeling some of them may reach the first team squad much quicker than we have seen in the past.
At his last club Marti reduce date average age of his squad from 28 to 24 in less than 2 seasons and I expect we may see that as well, maybe not too much this season with Cook Frey Fox etc but I like th approach we are taking with a combination of experience and young talent on the books.

Wish him all the best. Have to say 10 years at 1 club shows a lack of ambition from him and the club. Got to move to improve at some stage in my view

Got to move to improve at some stage in my view Maybe so, but we allowed him to work for us and Jamaica, so he carved out a nice existence, with trips to Jamaica thrown in for good measure. Be interested to see if his next role is anywhere near as good or accommodating. I doubt it.

Nourry and new signings talk about the pathway to the first team a lot. It is part of our new mantra. But it will be interesting to see the progress our own of Kolli and Henry Hawkins do next season. Kolli looks the best thing to come through since Eze. Been unlucky with injury, but that has lowered expectation and that may serve him better. Marti will nurture his talent. Henry Hawkins has come through all the development squads to captain last season's development team. He is highly rated. Left footed centre back - and if Clake-Salter moves to Palace, and Paal to Watford, we are going to be light on the left footers. So I hope he progresses and takes his chance. His dad, Lee Hawkins used to post on QPR Report, so very much, one of our own.

Got to move to improve at some stage in my view not sure I agree he perhaps sees his niche in developing youngsters it was under him for a few seasons our youth teams were spanking everything in sight. Regards ambition he’s stepped up to help first team (that’s how it was sold) and has been fucked off lol we done same with Steve Gallen he stepped up from running Youth side to support Ramsey and got jogged on. Got be careful as if that’s the reward you get next time we’re short there might not be the volunteers as stepping up at our club appears to result in the sack 😂😂

Regardless of the stats that any of the coaching staff have, there comes a point where regime change is absolutely necessary - I don't want anyone to feel its a job for life at LR. A lot of people had got too comfortable and failure was being rewarded.
Is Belk still there? He was supposed to be our data man when most of our signings were dogshit, meanwhile the clubs who actually understood how to use data (Brighton, Brentford) were disappearing over the horizon.
