Can't play January's team as Dykes is injured. He's that all too often and always out of form when returns.

For starters - I wouldn't be playing Chair and would have given Gray far more minutes than he's had. I would also be playing Willock in his best position, where he's been one of the best players in the division. Hendrick has upset the balance we had in January too. Amos is another who should be getting more game time. Sanderson and Marshall were decent Jan signings, I'll give him credit for that but he's been fucking up on his team selections and subs.

Agree about Hendrick. Doesn't improve us and blocks Amos from playing more.

Hendrick and Stef are too similar, even got the same hair ffs. We don't need two wannabe Pirlos in the team at the same time. Play one only.

Best players are always on the bench when we lose. Our best player keeps getting subbed or played out of position.

I would like to ask him why oh why is Willock always taken off while Chair is kept on the field of play every match. Field offers sod all so why does he get picked? Amos has been good when played so why has he not been played more.

There were perhaps 8 players with Premiership experience that played mins for our team today, unbelievable that there was only one team going to win it so convincingly.

Going to miss this as Mrs has me traipsing about Oxford street with her. Hope to see alot of cheer and happy posts on this thread, later this evening. Come on rangersssssssssss You are a very lucky man, hits. Lucky😂 every time I’m down the west end, I always end up rowing with some prat. This time it was the turn of a ticket inspector at Piccadilly who was shouting at nearly 200 people to move along while only two gates out of 20plus were open. Ended up giving him both barrels and shouted at the lump to open the other gates you bloody halfwit. Next up was a woman at Hard Rock Cafe. Ended up getting 20% off of the bill and mrs probably won’t ask me down there for another 6 months so it all ended well.

Totally agree. I do like Hendrick, I think he offers a lot of drive and effort but as it is at the expense of our own players who have done well it doesn't sit right with me either. Our game was crying out for a bit of energy yesterday, someone to force a mistake or a chance. George Thomas, not the most amazing player in the world but has got bundles of energy and always tries to impact a game left to sit out the entire match despite virtually getting us 3 points in midweek with his fantastic run, hold up play and cross for the goal. MW can be very confusing with some of his in game decision making.

He saw what worked and got us to within touching distance of second…….then changed it. Why would you do that? If it meant Chair having to force his way back in then fine, that’s football isn’t it?

He at least, sort of, admitted that post-match yesterday. Actions speak louder. Let's see what he actually does. One thing for sure. He needs to sort out our ongoing, horrible vulnerability to simple pressing. Everyone knows how to set up for us because we dont fucking sort it.

think we need to start using more of our fringe players tbh. can't be much worse than what we're seeing and is worth a shot.
guys like amos, thomas and fuck it, even that boy sinclair armstrong should get a run out. they'd offer enthusiasm if nothing else.

Thomas made a goal simply by getting about and passing forward early. Amos box to box instead of backwards and across is a different player (needs to improve finishing) and what’s to lose by involving a hungry young kid? We’ll soon find out if he’s a hit or needs more work.

Yes I know they see these players in training - whole different ball game in a match in front of a crowd.

exactly. ben foster talks about training with man utd players on his youtube channel. tevez was the worst player he ever trained with, the guy put in minimal effort, constantly complained about being cold and tired and just all around hated to train. van der sar would come out, catch a few balls for ten minutes and then just head back inside the cafeteria. both players are among the best of their generation.
thomas has been more miss than hit but nothing else is really working for us and its time to mix up the starting 11 a bit. we've been pretty dire since reading and imo even reading isn't anything to rave about given that reading are absolutely shit.

First and foremost MW needs to find a creative midfield player capable of regularly providing the type of pass that Thomas received to feed the likes of an Amos.

Introducing Georginho v Blackpool was the sort of game management (accidental?)we don’t often see from MW. He should have tried it again v Blackburn. The last thing defenders want at the end of a game is a little nuisance bombing around amongst them. But he didn’t, and it’s things like that that stop me being part of the great MW love-in. Has done really well but makes too many inexplicable decisions.
