Fulham are a class above us. I thought we gave them a game. Their strength was too much for us. Dunne not playing didn't lose us the game. You're missing the point Cricks. We set up in a way that was never going to win the game. Trying to play football against a far better footballing side. I'm not being funny, they had runners with quality causing us problems. We had a number 9 that doesn't move and a young fella who put in a shift but offered little in terms of quality. Never gonna win that game like that. Yet we wanna give the manager some sort of kudos cos it wasn't a cricket score? What we should have done is got in amongst them from the first kick. You could see by the way they whinged and moaned continuously that they are used to having it their own way. Should have roughed them up a bit, not let them play, got the crowd on their side etc. Much like we've done to Chelsea a few times here in the Prem years. Asking too much to expect this manager to have a match plan though, isn't it? He's a one trick pony! I didnt see anything that suggested Fulham are a class above us,we just didnt do enough to rattle their cage and get in amongst them. Ok the bloke in the middle pretending to be ref didnt help but we really didnt help ourselves. I agree with Tarbie in his post and as Corporal Jones would say they dont like it up them !!!!! |

Well about 1969 I had just come out of an all nighter at a club Shaftsbury Avenue close to Piccadilly Circus.
The band were Black Sabbath.
