In matches played only by men Man-of-the-Match just works.
In the women's game, Woman-of-the-Match doesn't roll off the tongue so easily.
Person-of-the-Match just sounds pathetic.
Player-of-the-Match might work in both men's and women's games though...

Crazy that the clock runs on once ref has stopped play for dead balls. Takes ages to set up for free kicks. Agree,as i have said each half should be measured by the time the ball is in actual play. |

Agree,as i have said each half should be measured by the time the ball is in actual play. I agree Bill and I reckon even if that was 30 minutes a half we would still get more actual game time. Not sure it would be practical to stop clock for every throw but ref could stop clock when he gives a dead ball decision and restart it when he blows whistle to take it. Link his watch to a stadium clock. Wouldn’t that have been interesting with Fergie time?😁 |
