It just gets worse. You would think they are on a bonus to get relegated.

Tim stats vs Burnley (and I didn’t think he had a bad game)
Zero success full passes.
One ground duel won out of six.
No successful dribbles.
No aerial battles won.
And, dribbled past three times.

Good players have bad games. I think Tim is a quality player who will do well. Sincerely hope he doesn't join moleman on loan next season. I doubt he will stay with us but you never know.

FACT - first season in a long time where I've wanted over 50% of the squad to fuck off

here's a more positive stat: we never conceded more than 6 goals throughout the entire season.

Not sure where this is best placed but found it interesting and worthy of wider discussion

If true this is really interesting. Some of the replies doubt the figures given but if this is somehow players only, not staff, then it could be right.

Quality over quantity I think when you compare Luton, Millwall to the likes of us I think quality wise we’re as competitive as most in majority of positions. Where we clearly lack is mental resilience, fitness and grit and overall teamwork. We are weak in all those areas. Can carry one or two passengers in the above areas if they are good at other things but we have to Carry four or five.

Wasn’t sure where to put this: Really interesting table. Coventry especially have done amazingly. Arguably the likes of Stoke and Huddersfield have performed even worse than us. Generally tho the lowest spenders are getting relegated or flirting with relegation.

Dieng, Field, Chair, JCS (when fit) are all excellent championship players. I’d say Dunne, Dykes, Paal and Dickie are up and down but average players. Who else is good?

Based on last seasons squad Willock, Tim and Laird are more than good enough for championship.
Dickie perfect example of decent player who looks mentally weak which drags him well below his capabilities.

Same players weren’t shit after all.

Is it a coincidence that when multiplying our weekly wage bill for players by 52 a figure of just over £12.5m which is just under the yearly target figure for FFP?
Take away clubs with parachute payments and clubs promoted from league one and most clubs are paying similar according to that table.

Generally tho the lowest spenders are getting relegated or flirting with relegation. Like I said previously, when you look at non playing staff alone it gets worse.... we're way more profligate than cov luton wall. We are hopeless at everything we do. When we spend, we get the wrong ones in. Meanwhile we piss up the rest up the wall on excess playing staff, a large chunk of which goes to proven failures (Belk, DoF etc etc).
