Can't work Dozzell out. 90% of the time, I don't think he's good enough, then occasionally he makes me think there is a player in there. My Ipswich mate actually says exactly the same. Tom Carroll MK2 perhaps. if you had a proper dog of war beside him (Derry like) to cover for short comings then he would be ok but we’re not good enough to carry players unfortunately and in some games he’s passenger as he dont put foot in Probably about right actually mate. Don't really get many of them anymore though do you? Possibly the reason we have so many bang average midfielders at this level these days. Try to make them all into complete players. Not much appetite for an old fashioned enforcer like Derry these days. I'm sure Tom Carroll would have done a bit more with his career if he formed a proper partnership with a hard bastard of a defensive midfielder at some stage. |
