no thank you for wells. old now and i doubt he'd leave bristol if reports of his contract are correct.
we are lacking pace up top but i feel like there's better younger options around

Wells one of my favourite players of the last 10 years to pull on a QPR shirt but he chose money over career to go to Bristol and his career basically ended there, but in the process he set himself up for life financially. His choice. He seems happy to run down his contract. With Preston circling also I imagine the wages would be huge. Much as I would like to see him back in the Hoops we could probably spend that money more wisely.

I am hoping that the Wells links are just fans assuming.
As stated, wages are huge and he isn't the player he was. I would rather see whatever wages he costs (plus his signing on fee) towards a younger player.

Personally I would like us to get him Wells in on a cheap, but I can`t really see Beale would sanction any kind of deal with him. Not his kind of striker. Too old. PS. I`m not sure he is past it, his just given enough game time and played out of position at Bristol City.

You love Nakhi, don't you? On 27 grand a week and a year left on his deal. Also a shadow of the player we had here a few years back. This is a signing akin to Charlie Austin last summer in my opinion. He`s most likely in a much better shape than Charlie Austin. What you can question is his desire to give his all for the club..Imo. |

Shania, the cold hard facts are he has averaged less than a goal every 10 games this season just gone. I think he only scored 1 in 5 the season before that. You could argue its just form etc., but I personally suspect his best years are behind him.

At present our squad has no strength in depth and no experience in it with four weeks till our first match
Still not getting the vibe of excitement this year atm that we can challenge for anything I’m afraid even top 10
Really sorry folks just not getting it am I the only one on here feeling we have a very in experienced squad
I’m sure the coach is very good but you can only polish so many turds in one go
We are currently much weaker as a squad than last year sorry to break the happy vibe but nowhere near last year atm in my opinion

Long way from time to hit the panic button Gens. We've brought in what appear to be 2 very good players. The Manager is still assessing what he has and the youngsters coming through. I'd imagine we don't have a hell of a lot to spend, so makes sense to take care to ensure its invested in the right areas. I think we are fine. Let's see where we are in 2 to 3 weeks.

Every club in our league are fighting over same players. So we may and prob lost out already on a few, you just keep going down the lists till u get a mug in.
