Go for Nathan Byrne. Safety first. We need routine, but I guess wages could be a problem in his case...

Sorry Mcatee was on loan to Grimsby last season from City and I read Luton had bought him and loaned him to Grimsby again ?

Not 100% what you mean Bill.
John Mcatee was owned by Grimsby then sold to Luton a day or so ago, Luton then allowed him to stay at Grimsby for a season long loan

I personally think Beale could be making a mistake in losing out on better players on loan rather than only wanting players that are available with a view to buy.

i'd prefer byrne over sterling tbh. sterling is a half decent player but i reckon byrne is better plus he brings experience

Sterling got very good reviews last year and he is rapid. I would be happy with him if that's who we get. Plus he's younger, so in theory more re sale value.
We still have a lot of experience in this team, I don't think we need more for the sake of more.
Chair, Willock, Joahnsen, Field, Adomah, Clarke Salter, Paal, Dieng to name a few, all have many years playing 1st team football.

Apparently Byrne is going to some club in the States. I think it's paramount we get Dujon Sterling now. We've missed out/fucked up the McNamara transfer. I mean that really was a farce. Offering £300k, then allegedly 400k. We've been turned down on Archer. Still only one game into the season and I'm beginning to doubt whether MB really is the messiah. And WTF is Les up to?

Its not MB its the board trying to get players For unrealistic prices
The millwall lb is perfect for us Pay the money we need a lb asap
Also a striker if dykes starts on saturday Its a joke really
Its obvious to see where we are failing in the team to anyone

MB did say that transfer fees and who's avaliable change as the window goes on which is fair. no club is gunna sell a player for cheap right at the start of the window or until they have a replacement lined up. idk if you've ever played football manager but transfers are relatable in that too. at the start of the window i might be asking for a couple of million for a player i don't need but i'll end up selling him for a few hundred grand by the end of the window just to get rid of him.

Dozzell sits deep and so does Johansen, so they should be enough to cover there.

As window gets nearer to shutting prices go up. Works both ways; clubs could fire sell as they have players that won't be in their squads so want them off the wage bill.

I would hate us to part ways with Chair, but we need the money to bring in enforcements in midfield and attack. RB seems sorted now.
