Given the farce taking place and the fucking toxic names were being linked with it does feel it was a mistake to get shot of what was not the perfect manager but a good fit for us
Personal opinion is it was wrong to get shot of him And if you were vocal shouters for his exit, seeing what’s going on now would you in hindsight retained him

Absolutely not. It was the right decision to call it a day. The board just need to go secure a decent Manager and the fans need to relax a bit. It shouldn't be panic stations yet.

I agree on panic stations. I really don’t think any of those names will get but nor do I think anyone better then what we had is going come in Tarbs

Really?

Agree on pressure on Les that’s why I think if he gets this one wrong he’s gone too when next man goes if he is unsuccessful

Really? At this stage that's a massive hypothetical mate, as others have pointed out. I'd rather deal in reality than hyperbole personally.

Warburton put himself in a position where he was going to be shown the exit door. He did similar at Rangers and Brentford from what I can recall. Rose tinted glasses is what a few fans are suffering from in my opinion. Yes, periods of Warburton's time as Manager were excellent. But not the last 4 or 5 months. They've been utterly dire and clearly something was very wrong. In what world would it make sense to bring back a guy we've let go under those circumstances? Ludicrous suggestion if you ask me.

Sides fall out of form. Austin said today nothing was wrong the squad togetherness, the back up staff and management team were all great there was no problem at all HIS words! Unless he’s lying? but he’s on the record saying today not one problem in the camp
We had basically one Calendar year of amazing form (it raised expectations) but unfortunately over two separate seasons. Put that together in one season and we probably go up but we could not sustain it for 18months and if I’m honest I’m not surprised. Not many sides would maintain and sustain that level of form outside of the top sides like Liverpool or city

Heard a few things from more than 1 source to suggest there were issues between Warburton and the board mate.
Whether Austin is telling the truth or not, I wouldn't want to speculate. Something looked amiss to me though.
Let's also be honest that time and time again over MW's time at the club we've criticised the same issues rearing their heads. Lack of plan B., gung ho football, not learning from our mistakes etc. And I'm not happy either with the response to the awful form 2nd half of this season.
Very clearly time for a change for me.

If Les (and Eustace) wanted a striker and the owners wanted a push to try for promotion from an unexpected position but MW caused a problem what has squad togetherness got to do with anything?

All these rumours etc are down to the board not lining someone up and their inability to make decisions. Granted maybe they can't name who they want but at least keep us informed by a statement like we hope to name our new coach/manager by whatever date. To do nothing means the club suffers and rumours fester and create friction when it's so avoidable. It's just doing their job properly....is that to much to ask.
No I don't want Warburton back !!!

Unless he’s lying? but he’s on the record saying today not one problem in the camp I saw on Twitter this morning he said a lot of players were unsettled over their futures as contracts hadn't been finalised. You'd imagine that could have had an unsettling effect on performances on the pitch. And what about the Dave Mac article revelations?? That clearly pointed to internal problems which were bound to filter down. I agree with you that some (but by no means all) of that was out of MW's hands.

MW said on Sky some players didn’t know what their contract position was. That’s terrible management by DOF and presumably Hoos so I’m not sure I’d take much notice of Austin if MW has said that on TV.

I would have kept him and I'm open for his return but not now. We need to have at least one manager in between as fanbase wouldn't support his instant return.
