It's not a blindspot. I know saying that people need to re-evaluate their lives isn't always going to be a popular thing to say but it's my opinion and I stand by it. There's no nice way to say it but I'm not not going to say something just because it may hurt feelings and I'm certainly not going to apologise for having opinions some find distasteful. |

At risk of being unpopular it could work for both: If he ate humble pie and offered to work for free till the end of the season with a bonus if he kept us up with a view to a longer contract that would go a long way to restoring what must now be a very tarnished reputation - both for ability and trustworthiness. And for us we might land a decent manager who could possibly get a tune out of these precious darlings who with a few honourable exceptions have not performed for his successors. Wouldn’t change my basic view that the man’s a wanker but in business (unlike in friendship) you don’t necessarily get or even want the nice guy. |
