Lovely - as was the strike from Chair.

We're already doing things which seldom happened under recent managers. Quick transitions, good movement off ball, co-ordinated press. That means another level of fitness.

It's like someone has a coherent, modern vision of what's supposed to be going on out there and the players are getting it. That's also been missing.

The championship is going to be a much stiffer test but I already feel more engaged by what I'm seeing.

I am sure that these are precautions rather than injuries. Playing it safe so to not over load them too soon.

But we do have a small squad, unless we will be using young players to fill the gaps. With 2 more signings (as Beale mentioned) then we should be okay squad wise.

I think a lot depends on the younger players that we are expecting to step up

Shodipo (not young anymore), duke mckenna, Sinclair, Kelman, Bettache, Pedder (I think that's his name?). If they are good enough for first 11 then we will be okay.

I was surprised Duke McKenna hardly featured under the Warbler. Only time I saw in him action was against Everton and he scored an excellent pen that night and looked good. Hopefully Beale will get the best out of him.

Once again, clear and honest - such a difference from ‘very pleased’ ‘very satisfied’……which was very predictable and very boring.
