Feel for him, that's awful news. Hopefully he gets any help he needs and gets back to playing regularly. Hasn't had much of a chance to show what he can do here, hope he gets that chance.

Not being horrible but why if he not injured ain't he playing. My eldest has had 3 mates murdered and knows another bloke who hung himself by a rroundabout last week but still does his job.

He might do his job but is it to the same standard, when he has these issues on his mind? I would expect the same with Richards, he could play but would be a distracted player, not ideal currently. |

Personally I don’t get this modern idea of caving in in the face of any adversity - look at what previous generations had to put up with and overcome - but if he is genuinely mentally affected and not just feeling sorry for himself I would hope the club is protecting its investment by getting him professional help.

Taylor reminds me of a lad at school sammy. Take your options year 3 and he was in my biology class well for about 3 weeks he was. Then rocked back up about a month b4 exams. Teacher asked who he was and he said I’m sammy I’m in this class😀

This one is very bizarre. When he plays he catches the eye but absolutely no level of consistency to even make the bench.

Attitude problems? Could also be a depression or anxiety, or both, obviously. Anyway, I hope a week with training will get him going again because we need him desperately in the run in.

i think its a combination of injuries, personal problems and a general lack of desire for this season.
he's looked very promising when he has played but it'd be great if we weren't obliged to sign him. who knows though, he's only 22 so there's a good chance he'll come good.
if we're relegated and he gets his act together he'll storm league 1.

In the Blackpool game Richards had two good moments with the ball after coming on as a late sub, I was shocked seeing his reaction to their LB accelerating away with the ball and Richards giving up after just 6 strides has already convinced me he’s not an Ainsworth type of player going forwards.

What’s so different about a footballer? peter crouch spoke about similar things on his podcast. every club has a player liason officer who's job is to basically be the players servant and to keep them as happy and stress free as possible lol. he even said that a player could probably get their officer to break up with a girl for them. its just the sad reality of football now. players are treated like primadona's due to all the money in football. |
