Special mention to Ozzy Kay Kay What an honest and hardworking kid that is. Doesn't get a big amount of opportunities but any time he's called on he gives 110% and what a ball for the goal. He's come on leaps and bounds since MB took over. Think you hit the nail on the head with honest I personally have not noticed any improvement the same errors occur but he don’t hide and you know what your going to get. He’s not shit he just seems to have a lot of errors in his game he repeats. You need players like him in squad, off the bench he does a job

Train home full of Reading fans. To a man, all fucking melts. Fake hoop cunts. Shit team too. League position flatters them. They'll be nowhere near promotion in my opinion. Told a few of them that too, they didn't even argue! 😂 your old man tell them Carrol is a shithouse 🤣😂 He probably would have mate. 😂 This was Waterloo to Guildford though. He went in a cab back to Kew.

We lost a lot of threat when Laird went out. The less Kakay plays for us the better. Laird is different class.

Remind me who crossed the ball for Dykes first goal Timmy? No ball = no goal. Can't really understand any negative comments regarding his performance last night tbh.

Remind me who crossed the ball for Dykes first goal Timmy? Kakay did and credit to him for that because there would not have been any goal without it. But honestly it was a nothing cross and all about Dykes for turning it for a goal. Imo of course.

Look, I'm not gonna argue Kakay isn't a downgrade from Laird. One is on the books of Man Utd and the other is Osman Kakay. But he gives 100%, you know what your gonna get and given our financial constraints, we need to accept that there are a few areas of our squad without cover of the same calibre of the first 11.
On both flanks, full back cover isn't perfect, but as the season develops, we will need Kakay and probably also Niko.
No point digging them out!

i love kakay, he gives 110% everytime he plays and is a useful utility player who i trust for the most part. even so though he's quite a negative player as he passes backwards 99% of the time and often has an error or two in him.

At least Kakay tried to get forward and of course gave an excellent assist right when we needed it. It was Paal on the other flank who didn’t get forward - was praising him the last couple of games but last night he seemed penned back even tho they didn’t have any great threat down that side

Moment of game for me was Joe Lumley going forward for a free kick on 93 minutes but forgetting to take the ball with him. Brilliant! 😂 Was that when in injury time and they get a free kick deep in our half - with the clock ticking and their right back charges up to our box for set piece. Inexplicably he leaves the ball in his own right back position expecting a ball boy I assume to bowl it up to Reading. No dice. Eventually after Reading players stand around gormlessly for a minute Tom Ince has to sprint back the full pitch to retrieve it, wasting god knows how much precious time

Willock not linking up with Chair down the left could be a big reason why.

Anyone know reason for Ince’s seemingly bizarre selection? He left Ejaria and Ince - two players over the years who I have wanted us to sign - on the bench for much of the game yet finds room in his team for that donkey Hendrix who I don’t think I even noticed to boo in the first half?

The Blackpool loss at home looks like our worst result so far when you see they're 4th bottom. We'd be top of the league now had we drawn or won that game.

Hendrick has actually been decent for them from what I've seen. Didn't do much last night admittedly.

It was said that the fitness stats, showed both players in 'the red' and likely to pick up an injury if started. So he didn't. Not sure how much to make of the fitness coach having that big a say in team selection.

Having Field mark Carroll when their goalie pumped it up to him was a tactical masterpiece ensuring the two CBs weren't taken out of the game. tactics! Gotta love them, been reported missing the last few years.... (also think we switched to a 5 for a while without chaos ensuing) long way to go boys but I do love what I'm seeing

Yeah, we were absolutely terrible in that game. Seem to be playing with more confidence now. Still think (without Willock) we lacked people last night to move it between the lines. It was a bit back to Warbs-ball last night.

Replays show it's a clear pen so he obviously needs a trip to Specsavers.
And yes Coney, makes himself look an even greater fool by ignoring the even more blatant one by his own player!
It is sad how some managers are so ungracious in defeat, again something Beale never is and always shows humility and gives credit to opposition where it's due.

I think we need to stop bitching about some players shortcomings. Kakay for me had a good solid game last night and always plays for the shirt.
If we all truly want the best for our club think we have to be a little more forgiving. Even I praised Dykes last night. We seemingly have a manager who ticks most of the boxes in my opinion.
So it's time to roar the side on and see where it takes us.

Sparks - Clear red for me. Thought so at the time and my opinion hasn't shifted having seen all the angles. Compounded by some of the cheap yellows given out in the game.
That Hutchinson had a couple of lunges as well prior to going off injured.
Annoys me when refs give out yellows for niggly stuff but dish out exactly the same punishment for challenges that could seriously injure players like this one.
