Slightly odd interview. Says there has been “no direct contact”. But that leaves a lot unsaid. Also says he wants to manage in the Prem League but today he is manager of QPR - think QPR fans would like to think that their manager would have ambitions to manage us in the Premiership - it’s not as if it’s a foreign land to us…

Also says he wants to manage in the Prem League but today he is manager of QPR - think QPR fans would like to think that their manager would have ambitions to manage us in the Premiership - it’s not as if it’s a foreign land to us… personally i have no qualms with him being ambitious and wanting to manage bigger clubs, its the nature of the game and careers are short. if he left to join wolves then i'd understand why. wouldn't be best pleased though as he's only been with us for 15 games so i'd prefer it if he finished the season with us at least. its not difficult to see why he's already attracting interest though, there's something very special about him imo. his view might be that he might not get a chance like wolves again anytime soon and should he take that job and fail then he could always just restart his career back in the championship or abroad again anyway. whereas if he fails here then its probably to league 1 with him. rumours are abound though that wolves have made tentative contact with him.

I would disagree on Wolves being a good opportunity for MB at this time, they look in relegation trouble and looks to me a real tough job for him to keep them up.
Whereas if Glasgow Rangers decide to call time on Van Bronkhorst at the end of season I would guess MB would see that as a much easier project and he would be willing to walk to Glasgow for that job.

Don't see much point in Mick going to either of those 2. Wolves are a sack of shit and might well go down regardless of what he does. Rangers always comes with the disclaimer "yeah, but it's only Scotland". Better served staying with us. Getting us up or at least to the playoffs will enhance his career as well as what he'll do with either of those jobs.
If he moves get 15 or 16 games here and it goes tits up, he'll be back to square one.

really hope he doesn't go as it looks like it was a real coup bringing him in. if he does go then i hope we bring someone in that is also forward thinking and who can step up, who that may be is beyond me though. maybe rob edwards?

Personally my views haven't changed since posting this: Chances of him leaving after 15 games must be miniscule, Shirley? And as GT says: Think people would think he got no commitment.

Wolves shouldn't be so low. They have some very good players and a good manager will see them into the mid table area with no problem. Quite strange that people would be surprised if he left us to join them.
They are a club with good backing, a good squad and give their managers time. Arguably a very good fit.
Also for the interview, he said nothing wrong. Wants to manage in the premier league; all of our players will want to play there as well. No different.

I know it’s just a job, but I’d like to think he would be a bit gracious to the club that give him this opportunity and helped get him noticed. If went end of season I could cope but going now is a snake in grass move .

going now is a snake in grass move . And he certainly doesn't come across as that kind of character. Quite the opposite in fact, IOW almost too honest (and moralistic) at times. Which is why I maintain the chances of it happening after 15 games into a new job must be miniscule.

Fucking hell, I sincerely hope I'm not about to watch his last game in charge! However, from this: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63314761 I take it he's not going. I think he's a sensible and honourable man and he will be staying.
