Makes a pleasant change to know we have prepared in advance and acted early, rather than wait to see who nobody else wanted. 😂 he was out of contract in may. scunny and coventry fans are saying the lad must have a good agent. he could not get a regular starting place for scunny or any of the other clubs he has been with. would rather have darlling and our other youth on the bench than waste a wage on a fella that farking scunthorpe thinks is shit. He did start at Scunthorpe. He started slowly but then done really well from arounc Xmas time until before lockdown where he picked up an injury. Not much cop out wide but looked good as a no.10. Unless you are basing your opinion on 1 persons view and treating it as gospel?

Can't work George Thomas out. Looked great when he came on against Cov. Can he only get up for a game if it's against his old club?

How long has he been here and how many games has he played in? If, getting rid of him and ball is the plan to free up some money for a striker, I’m all for it.

George hasn't started, so it's a big unfair to be writing him off. Give him a go. Really think there's a player there. Looked good and influential last two sub appearances.

He's just not good enough at championship level . George runs around like a headless chicken chasing the ball until he's tired . He was brought on at Coventry to try and disrupt their play . Waste of a place in the team . He's a enough chances and it's not worked out for us or him

He should useful when we go out press the opposition from the start. Just a pity that we leave it too late in most matches or like against Swansea didn`t do it at all.

He is a good presser of the ball and has enough about him to put a ball through. But I don't think he's good enough when we are sitting back.

Play George every game. There's a real player there. Energy and effort and touch. First start since played as wing back in August.

Put a shift in for sure mate. If Lyndon Dykes could learn his work ethic we'd be getting somewhere.
Not really sure where George fits in though. Not a striker, not really a proper midfielder, definitely not a winger. Can only really play him if you drop Chair and play him off a Number 9.
Looks like a player that needs a bit of development for me.

Been said before, and looks to be the case, manager has his favourites.

Im completely indifferent towards Chair. Clearly talented but we don’t seem to miss him when he’s not there like we miss Willock. I’d give Georginho another chance on Tuesday instead of Chair.

Probably agree with that Al. Chair has definitely got quality, just doesn't impose himself on games enough. Goes missing way too often.
George is different, plays in the same space but puts much more of a shift in. I'd take that right now. Too many players not doing enough out there the last few games.

He should actually have got a run in the team after he set up a winner a few weeks ago.

He reminds me of a Duracell bunny. Lots of energy but pointless.

If he was match fit he stays on I would agree with you, but he was shot so totally right call removing him mate

If MW were to play the percentage game at Sheff U then he needs to select players that are likely to either make something happen or actually score.
The two players (Chair and Dunne) most likely to score for us yesterday we’re both on the bench
Thomas was pivotal in the first half but i would like to think our players have more intelligence to be able to see out the majority of the game.
I would much rather see Thomas alongside Amos and Field in MF than Hendrick.

Genuine question sparks why is Dunne most likely to score for us??

I would consider him our biggest threat on corners and set pieces, is that not the case ?

Can only really play him if you drop Chair and play him off a Number 9. Great. Works for me. Looks like a player that needs a bit of development for me. I think he HAS developed since we first signed him. Looks a better player now than then. Similar with Willock whom the club has done superbly in developing since his signing. Been said before, and looks to be the case, manager has his favourites. Yes he has his favourites and he's stubborn, and yet he FINALLY succumbed to the pressure by dropping Hendrick (and didn't even bring him on) as well as starting with Amos and Thomas he was blowing out his arse after 35mins Was not as involved or energetic second half as we was first. If he was match fit he stays on I would agree with you, but he was shot so totally right call removing him mate Exactly. All the more reason to start him more often to further boost his match fitness.

The obvious dangers of keeping MW on are, it’s highly likely that the likes of Willock, Dickie and Dieng could be sold if the right offers come in. Not bothered at all about that one. More hype than substance. I still have an open mind on our players under MW, who would have expected George to shine as he’s done in the last few games.

Oh I certainly wouldn't put Thomas in that category, Sparks.
Only highlighted Dickie.

I’m just saying From what I saw of him he looked a league 1 player at best in previous cameos.

Again, wouldn’t argue with that at all
Although you could simply put that down to lack of game time, as Kevin Gallen recently mentioned. I think it was him
