Need to use break to get Willock PROPERLY FIT. Shadow of his former self. He really is. I know he is supposedly our best player but no point if not fit. Real questions over Beale for selecting him last two games. Appreciate we don't have many options but Richards actually looked quite lively when he came on, no idea why Armstrong has disappeared again, no one should be in the team thru reputation.

This league is wide open not because of the quality, more the mediocrity of all teams. Blades blast Burnley from2-0 down then lose at home to Rotherham, crazy.
Think our squad is small, lacks grit in midfield and we all know about up top.
Chair whilst really trying maybe to hard. Tim a bit of a show pony.
Need some quality up front go back to front three drop Dykes,OK scored tonight but aunt Bessie could if scored that. Missed 2 other good chances and is just Dykes.

Set pieces in recent weeks have been very poor. Chair, whilst he works hard often has absolutely zero end product. Willock doesn't look match fit. Dykes has gone back to offering nothing after a couple of decent performances and Seny seems to have gone backwards rapidly this season. We're also missing Stefan. Need to sign a striker in January desperately. I know I can sound like Chair's union rep and I admit a couple of his efforts were woeful tonight but at least he was trying and looked for the ball - v few players you could say that of tonight. A lot of players went missing. Jimmy Somervile would have been tougher in the tackle than our centre halves. And that's why Beale's passive demeanour matters - how much is he demanding of the players? Or is it all pats on the back and lets have an analytical debrief in the morning?

The only player out there looking to try and grab the game by the scruff of the neck. Most certainly one of our best players out there tonight. Same as Saturday.

I blame Chair and Dieng. Dieng for the second goal and Chair because he never found our players in the box despite dozens of chances and his shooting was piss poor. What did Willock or Albert do? I thought early second half maybe Willock had been substituted and I missed it. But blame Chair...

Losing at home to the bottom club is some low. And Hudds are a young side side not even at full strength.
We seem to have had some kind of middle order collapse lately.
Agree it's more important now than ever the need for a striker in January.
Impressed by Richards when he came on tonight.

But if you think that was worse than Luton, WBA, Brum, Rotherham or Blackpool then I reiterate, chatting out of your bum.

I thought early second half maybe Willock had been substituted and I missed it. But blame Chair... That's a complex one. I don't blame if he was some-one's MOTM as he played his socks off! But on the other hand his decision-making and final ball were at the level of a 3-year old boy. No use to us and no problems for Huddersfield. Had those been any better we would have won. It's like some-one was otherwise the best player but missed four penalties. Therefore the defeat was his and Dieng's fault (IMO).

Looks worse the more I see it. Seny ffs Seny has to do better but what about the three defenders round the man waving their willies instead of getting stuck in. Overall appalling goal for many reasons starting with giving away pointless soft unnecessary freekick.

Good point about unnecessary free kicks. We don’t appear to be a very intelligent team, we get suckered in far too easily.

We need more than a striker. We need at least one midfielder with grit and determination who can compete physically. A bit like Ball...

Usually has attacker with back to or going away from goal and he tries win ball or puts hands on back so they go over. If he’s going towards his own goal then Just shadow him don’t give the cheap foul away

I was thinking of a player like the portuguese midfielder Meireles. I think he played for Chelsea in his prime. He was great.

Who do you want in the trenches, someone who tries his all, or a shirker? Chair has played pretty much every match and runs about like a little Trojan. His form has dipped no question, but he gives his all every game despite a World Cup approaching (contrast that with Roberts). If anyone was going to break them down last night it looked like him. Jack Nicholson was once asked for the secret of his success with women, and he replied: "I turn up". Chair turns up. Did Albert, Laird, JSC, Balogoun turn up last night (actually I wish Balogoun hadn't). And what has Willock done since he's been back, yet is lauded by many for being Premier League class? At the moment I would seriously consider dropping him for Richards against Coventry. Either he isn't fit (in which case it is unfair to play him) or his head has been turned.

Good point about unnecessary free kicks. We don’t appear to be a very intelligent team, we get suckered in far too easily. Warnock had this system where anyone who passed to Adel in our own half got fined. Well Beale should introduce a fine for anyone who gives away a needless free kick when a player has his back to goal and is heading away from danger. He also needs to do some serious defensive coaching. It wasn't just the two goals there were countless times when bottom club Huddersfield reserves (for that's what they were) won the first header in our box AND got the second ball too. No marking, no positioning, no challenging, no fight again - all worrying signs, particularly the lack of fight as you can't really train that.

All those people who have been talking about attitude have been spot on, which is exactly what Mick has been going on about post game. Body on the line and dont switch off. We're still a thin squad, we still have to resolve the 9 thing, but I've got a feeling this duff spell could be the making of this side. Nothing wrong with a reality check and boot up the arse from the boss.
