on one hand it creates more goals and scoring opportunities. on the other hand it takes a bit more away from football and team setups.
the days of the lumbering 6'5 defender would be numbered imo as teams would favour faster paced CB's to counter strikers.
idk, i know football has changed a lot against the years but personally i feel like it'd be a step in the wrong direction. i do think they should be more liberal with offsides, like ruling in favour of the scorer when its a toenail off side and stuff like that.

Can't see how it'll make a difference to close calls as the position of the hawk eye line is just moved further along, but there'll still be contentions if there's clear gap or not.

Exactly - we'll still get the same calls, along the lines of "Oh that's ridiculous, fingernail of the striker's pinky on his trailing hand was clearly level with the defender's big toe..."

No, agree, but it will stop the nonsense of a forward doing his utmost to stay in line - using skill and awareness to bend runs etc. - then getting caught out by mm, as opposed to someone blatantly flouting the law hoping to get away with it or not being clever enough outwit a defender.

Dont know about improving the game but they sure going the right way about destroying it. I’m certainly not as excited about the game as I used to be. Would never miss a home game and make as many aways as possible. Now I’d rather go on holiday😁 Prem doesn’t grab my interest like the old days either, I hate all the cheating.

I would like to see a law that says you must leave the field for 5 mins assessment for a head injury. If it’s genuine then that is sensible, if you’re a cheat you will be cheating your own team.

I would allow the physio on while the game continues that would stop all the laying on pitch to get game stopped

Talking of feigning injury, there are now a few examples of the game being stopped as there has been a medical issue with someone in the crowd. Goes without saying that this is serious, but could the next step of this, be for a supporter to feign a medical issue to get the games stopped!!

Think only grey area would be if it’s inbox , if it’s outside then play around them if it’s not serious then players won’t be going down as they know game will continue. If physio stops game as it is serious then that player should be prevented from returning to pitch for set time so he can be properly assessed or he’s subbed. Need to stop pandering to players rolling round and controlling the tempo of the game and teams breaking on them by lying down. Question back how many serious injuries do we see at a game which require game to be stopped?? How often is it stopped for player lying down then 20secs after physio seeing them their fine? Play them at their own game.

As you say though, if it's in the box then it would be a grey area and not sure how you'd deal with that.
