It's clear we are carrying some dead wood and need to have a clear out but, who do you think should go?
My personal feelings are the following players should be sold or released to free up funds:
Jordan Archer
Luke Amos
Lyndon Dykes
George Thomas
Niko Hamalainen
Andre Dozzell
Conor Masterson
Charlie Owens
Olamide Shodipo
Joe Walsh
Albert Adomah
Thoughts?

I liked what I saw of Masterson a couple of years ago, potential there I think. Otherwise….can’t really argue with that.

I liked what I saw of Masterson a couple of years ago, potential there I think. Otherwise….can’t really argue with that. I did too but just hasn't for some reason done enough to impress any manager so far so that tells me something. |

would keep dozzell as i can still see a player in there. uncs for vibes, lots of the younger players look up to him and he's good for getting the crowd going plus he's not actually terrible imo.
i've always been a big fan of amos and if he was still in good form i'd say he's worth keeping despite the injuries but he's really dropped off now so its probably for the best to let him go.

Others for me proven to be either shit, never fit, nowhere near first team or useless when they get a chance. These two can play. They just need to cut out silly mistakes. My opinion. |

Agree but should we stop at just the players. We lack cash to spend so let’s cut costs.
1) Get rid of our youth team set up, players and coaches. Let’s stop the romantic nonsense of developing players. It’s the 1st team results that matter.
2) Start picking up all the best players who drop out of the Cat 1 Academies at 18. No one will care if we go on a good cup run with a load of Chelsea and Tottenham rejects.
3) Field our B team purely from those players we get under 2.
4) Get rid of DOF position. Get Manager and CEO to take up his responsibilities.

Masterson stays. I wouldn't worry too much that successive managers have sidelined him (ie the same people who kept playing Dykes).
The clear out we desperately need is in the boardroom but thats another story.

My opinion. i've heard people suggest moving back into a back 3. makes sense, we played some great stuff with 3 at the back in the past. |

Wouldn't part with Masterson. Bit divided on Amos as he's a good player at this level but he's injured far too often to spend the dough on so we should probably get rid.

We carry a large squad of nothingness No wages saved at all. Think about it. You have a contract for three years and it is worth half a mill or more. Would you rip it up? When you know your future lies in the lower leagues on much lower wages. Alan rightly asks if there would be much money saved - but it’s actually much worse than that. We would have to pay off their contracts. So the up front costs are actually way more than letting their contracts run out. There is no magic money tree in any of these players. |

Wouldn't lose a wink of sleep over any of them going. Have always liked Amos but he seems to have gone backwards. Love Albert but he is a glorified 35 year old cheerleader. Dozzell I always thought had a player in him somewhere but has had plenty of time now & never really shown a great deal. Rest are no brainers and add fark all to the squad (won't mention Dykes as we all know most of our thoughts on him...). |

Update: Thomas - Gone Masterson - Out on loan The rest stays the same for me. Yet again yesterday, Adomah & Dozzell reinforced my feeling that they're just no good. Absolutely shit the pair of them yesterday when they got their chances. |
