How about we give him a few games and a window before pre judging? Although it wasn’t attractive he was the first manager in 2 1/2 attempts to get a song out of the players this season. Beale was great at the start but look at his record after the Cardiff/Wigan games in October. Critchley? Hall? WARNING: FICKLE FAN U-TURN After today I have seen very little to suggest we can trust the future to GA. Thank god we got flukes wins at Burnley and Stoke. Worryingly enough Albert going off didn’t seem like a player who thought it was his last game for the club,

Jesus DK....... he's about 40. He just so past it and has been for most of this season. Yeah he followed up the other day, but that was kind of his job. And like I said before, the thought of Ainsworth for the next 3.5 years terrifies me. It's like Olly re-loaded.

Says in the interview that 'this club isn't what it used to be. And that's why I'm here. I probably wouldn't be here if it was". Can't fault his honesty. And effort. I'll give him a chance to fuck out all of the shit this summer.

However we play, whatever way we set up, we have got to be harder to beat. And far tougher in the middle. We can't play soft useless wankers like Amos and Dozzell there. Nor past it has beens like Stef, fruitcakes like Roberts, or the shadow from Brighton. Not when we set up with non defensive players like Willock or Chair. Even Field, who does some defensive work, lacks steel or spike. He's no shield. And we need some.

I've done another U-turn. Leighsie, I take it all back. You're right: Ainsworth is all hair and no trousers. That performance today, well, from the moment I saw the team sheet, I thought: WTF is this shit? Nice of Albert to underline it so early on though. He's been a good and loyal servant in recent years (Albert, that is), but his time is done. And yet GA is talking about extending his contract. And Chris Martin. The club can't afford to sack GA. Last few seasons we've been shopping at Poundland. Next season, it's car boot sales. What a fucking shit show of a season!! Wow.
There's a fantasy narrative that has GA picking up these lower league gems and fashioning a squad of moderately talented grafters who play smash and grab football to take us to the heady heights of mid-table next season. Then there's the more sobering reality that we go down playing agricultural football worthy of the Halifax and district league. GA is Worzel Gummidge and I've got a brand new combine hartvester.

Don't want to watch anymore halfarsed lazy players, who think they're the next modric and don't want to get stuck in, like we've seen this year. If that means a more agricultural style, that’s fine by me, as long as I see players fighting for their spot and giving their all for the club.

I think we have seen from Luton and Millwall that it is possible to compete on a budget. To be fair to GA he inherited a shit show.
I am prepared to let him get some new players in and see how it goes but there are some very worrying signs. I think the four pints I had before yesterdays game made it somehow more bearable but it was pretty dreadful and uninspiring given the shackles should have been off.

i'm still in favour of gareth being the manager tbh. he at least deeply cares about the club and will give it his all.
the fact of the matter is we're a basketcase of a club with no money, a poor squad and unmotivated players. look at gareth's track record, he's not a bad manager by any means as evident by the job he did at wycombe. we're the type of club and situation that gareth specialises in.

Some compare Ainsworth to Ollie in the way he maybe lacks technical savy and relies more on galvanising a squad. Ollie has a few promotions under his belt including 2 in the championship proving a manager doesn’t need to be a master tactician to achieve results. I’m sure GA is his own man but if he’s adopted some of the positive traits of Ollie, of which there are many, then we’ll at least see a team committed to the cause.

Not convinced by Gaz, but he's here now and he inherited a broken team of variously injured, confused, demoralised players - some of whom don't want to be here and can't wait to get out of W12.
But he ain't going anywhere until/unless the team HE builds implodes.
So what choice do we have, other than to support him and hope he gets 'the right sort' in over the summer, offloads a few wasters (probably at much reduced values or frees).
Under Warbs we were making gradual, but steady progress. Two steps forward, one step back.
Since Warbs we're going the other way - one step forwards and two steps back (and arguably three or four steps back).
The summer is going to be 'interesting', I suspect not in a good way.
Will there be changes at the top? I doubt it.
Will the board continue to prop up the club to the tune of £2m a month? They'd be mad to.
The only financial return (or simply recoup just some of their massive losses) they stand any chance of making out of the club is if we get back to the Prem and they sell. Zero chance of that for some years.
And who are we likely to attract to the club? Journeymen and unproven youth and lower league players. Have to say our record in that respect is generally pretty shite.
Looking forward to a break away from all of this for a few months.

It's those fucks from the dressing room who've been shit under Warbs, Beale, Critchley and Gaz. He, in spite of it all, got the three wins that kept us up. I'll give him time. And judge him by his team.

The only line of this I take issue with is your assertion he is all hair. He is actually losing his hair (no crime there, I'd be a hypocrite to call him out for that) but for god sake's man when your hair is falling out and you are well into middle age, get yourself a haircut, give the red leather jackets and stupid shoes to your local charity shop and look a bit more serious. Just a thought but maybe then the players might take you a bit more seriously.
