Big game for Ainsworth Saturday.... Leeds was always likely to be a tough ask to get a result from... A win and the pressure is off him for a few weeks with the international break, if our midfield is lacking Colback (injured?) as well as the suspended Field, we then need to find out if either SDK and Dixon-Bonner or both with Dozzell can plug the gap.... I wish Reggie was up to speed with Dunne fit again? just to give Kakay and Smythe a break on the right...
upfront? would be nice to have both Dykes and Armstrong but I so want a three in midfield so we're solid and Dozzell can play further forward where he was playing well before Colback's red card.... Wouldn't mind also throwing Smyth on the left (where I think he played for the O's) to mix it up... with Chair playing off Dykes / Armstrong... I'd go as far as even trying Reggie RB, Ozzy RW as he can actually deliver a cross, just can't defend and put Smyth up front (with Dykes as the foil, big man) to use his quick feet to try and bamboozle defenders. I'm at the stage now where I think we need to try ANYTHING due to our alarming lack of chances never mind goals. Added bonus of your idea would be Kakay tracking back when needed to help out - much better option for that than Smyth. |

Lose.
No Begovic,Colback,Cook etc.
Even with them we would struggle.
No creativity,no goalscorers and a defence that is suspect.
Smyth i would not bother with,not strong enough.
Add Ainsworth it doesnt paint a pretty picture.
Ps Scotland play soon.

Obviously we don't know the situation with Cannon as it stands so the idea might be redundant but you're right what we're doing every week is simply not working and we need to change it up. Fringe players who we deem not good enough I'd be tempted to play. Nothing ventured nothing gained. That clearly comes with risks as people will say why is he experimenting now but as we said It's dire straits. |

Without Colback, Begovic and Cook available I can't see us getting anything I`m afraid. Field suspended too, I think. And Fox out. Begovic's red card has been rescinded.... Available Saturday now JCS is decent cover for Fox.... Dunne can cover Cook in a three....Depends if they can both play 90 though.... Could play them as a two as well Reggie or even Drewe starting at RWB or FB would help as teams target our right hand side seeing Kakay and Smyth as our weakness The bigger ask for me is midfield.... Are SDM and Dixon-Bonner potential starters or just bench fillers.... Dozzell was doing nicely in front of Field and Colback.... Would like the pace of Smyth used somewhere attacking as well |
